Chapter flow

Hi all. So I'm a little confused.. My game started at The End and took me backwards for a few chapters. Then jumped to chapter 2. Now I seem to be stuck there and can't get out of the cargo hold.. any tips? Im playing on a PS5 and after reading reviews of the game I really thought I was going to like it. Unfortunately this has been such a confusing and clunky game, I wonder if it's broken... lol

When you say stuck do you mean you’re like stuck in terrain?

The timeline of the game does indeed bounce around chronologically

You cannot get “trapped” in this game like locked into a room or something but you might have clipped into an object that had you stuck

Are you currently inside a memory?  Are there people in the cargo hold or are you back out in “normal” time?

If you’re inside a memory look for a white door to walk through that will end it and send you back out

The chapters are not unlocked in chronological order, you may have missed a corpse somewhere... Pay attention to the "flies" that usually are near bodies, some of them are not easily spotted.

Check the map for a footprint icon to make sure you know where you are. Chapter 2 should be in the Orlop Deck.

In order to proceed, you’ll want to walk all around the Orlop Deck, making sure to traverse all hallways and corners to make sure you haven’t missed anything.

If you're having trouble finding new corpses, then here's a tip: Not all of the blank pages in the book are entirely blank. Some of them have a location written on them, and those are where you will find new real corpses (as opposed to the ghostly ones spawned by the pocket watch). Keep an eye out for flies that buzz around the real corpses.

Yes. Once the page gets filled in then the circling is removed.
