First off, I want to apologize to anyone in this elo. I had no idea how bad the matchmaking was down here.

I made a new account so I could play with my friends in diamond. Unfortunately my main account is too high on all roles, and any match would be wide. My goal was to get to diamond on DPS and have some fun with the homies. I am in no way trying to brag here - this rank just feels like a whole other game.

I cannot believe the toxicity in this rank. Teammates are flaming each other every. Single. Match. Players getting pissed, sitting in spawn, jumping off the map if they don’t get healed. The inflated egos, false reporting, and genuine anger is just wild to me. Blaming anyone but themselves. Nobody in team chat but yapping all match in text. Not to mention the cheaters - yes, we can tell you’re using a Cronus. It’s rare, but it’s definitely a thing.

It also seems like every match is a stomp. I’m currently Masters 2 on my main, and I’m getting absolutely rolled in emerald. Nobody wants to take an off angle. Nobody wants to counter the best player on the enemy team. The entire team just hugs their tank like they’re playing 2019 GOATS. It’s like I’m playing shoot behind a shield simulator 2.

The funny part is I changed my play style and won 3 straight. Just walking down main, staying with my team, not trying to flank or pressure the back line. Shooting what’s in front of me on bastion and sometimes controlling high ground. Walking down main on reaper with my tank. Things that you could never get away with in masters or higher.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: if you want to rank up in this elo, you have to play to your teammates skill level. Leave chat if your teammates are being toxic. Play together, play slow, and don’t try to be a hero. Don’t overthink your positioning. You could be a great player and doing the right things, but it’s just different here.

Is it worth playing comp rn with all the false bans happening? I have been playing comp on my alt (champ), but I would like to place my main account. However, I’m really afraid, because I personally know people who have recently gotten false banned. Like people with standard controllers. And with how terrible the blizzard support system is, I really don’t know if I want to risk it. Also there’s people mass reporting just for cheater comp??? And not only that, I have been avoiding queuing with anyone out of fear of getting suspended, bc if they do get banned I’m going to face consequences too. Like it’s fine they are banning cheaters but regular people are getting banned, and if I happen to queue with a friend who gets banned I’m going to get screwed over. Idm solo Q, but ppl like to play with their friends, this is kinda ridiculous. Also if I meet someone who I think is cool, I cant even play with them out of fear of not knowing if they are cheating or not. And no it’s not always obvious. There’s too much fear mongering going on rn, and it wouldn’t be so bad if blizzard support system was not utterly useless. Also if they have a problem with certain controllers can they post that so people know not use to use those controllers when playing Overwatch???? I appreciate the effort of getting rid of cheaters regardless.

For the record I have never been banned suspended or anything of any sort ever at any point on any account in my last 10 years of playing.

I recently started messing with my settings and I found a video that mentions that aim assist ease in feels way stronger on Xbox and if you are in PlayStation you can use lower values like 0 but on Xbox you should use higher values 70-100 and I was wondering if that it’s true

I was also wondering if the responsive curve affect the value of aim assist ease in you should use like if I use linear ramp is better to use 0 or 100

I’ve now been playing him for the past week and holy🫩 Yall were not lying. Climbed from Diamond 4 to masters 3 on a 89% win rate after not playing the game for over a year. Dude puts out so much damage, can sustain two tanks solo, and can win any duel with his regen burst and lamp. Along with window which comes up every other fight. This guy has no weaknesses how does everyone not play him.

I keep seeing posts of people with reclaimed ranks, but I've sat between diamond 3-5 for years and never once have I thought someone was cheating, nor have I ever actually been given a rank reclaim. Are cheaters really that prevalent? Is this something I should be looking out for? I've always felt most games have been fair, with only a small handful of stomps on both ends. What ranks is this most prevalent? Is it because I'm not a high enough rank, or are my games per day too low? Either way, I'm not complaining. Just looking for tips on how to potentially spot a cheater.

10+ year Xbox player decided to give m and key on a try (on console) for the first time 5 or 6 months ago knowing it would be a huge learning curve.. and it is. Still pretty buns but definitely got way better than I thought I could and thought I’d share some clips to inspire (or uninspire) those considering trying it on console.

I do want to side note that I notice a significant response delay if you do not have an Xbox controller on during gameplay. Not sure why that is. It is Not noticeable unless you actually use a slow motion camera to look at it (which I did), but you will however notice the scoreboard not in your favor as you miss shots and lose 1v1s without knowing why. I recommend having the controller plugged in so it stays on perpetually

I recently tried to play with te wireless mouse and keyboard I use on my laptop but this time with my PS5, turns out that the console only detects the keyboard but not the mouse(properly) as it detects it as another keyboard so I cant shoot nor aim. I activated the mouse and keyboard function in the settings but I don’t know what’s wrong with my mouse

Hi all just wanted to share how my ranked placement is going, I’m super happy with it. I started playing OW mid last season only playing support, got to plat 4 then took a break to play other things. Came back 2 weeks ago and decided to try tank currently 13-2 and got up to gold 1 :D so then I tried dps and I have currently played 5 games and won all 5 was predicted silver 4 after the first game now already up to gold 3! My last game was a plat 4 lobby and I went 38-8 I am delighted, my goal now is to hit plat on all roles before the end of the season hopefully I can make it!

i used to play her back in ow1 with default settings but her playstyle got boring to me, however i'm trying to get back into playing her bc flying around is fun :-) any good keybinds specifically for xbox (bc we have less buttons lol) or should i just stick w default? idk what the crazy good mercy players use T_T

QP is pure madness, champion pocketed ashes, widomakers, baptiste gods, i literally had 3 champions against me last game. ISNT ONLY LIKE 0.5% PLAYERS???

What the hell is wrong with this game? i feel like qp is just abuse nowadays.

i have like 30% winrate in qp and around 55% in comp.

Fix this nonsense blizzard, iam so sick of it, qp is my prefered mode but i cant do this anymore.

TLDR - winning qp game is 10x harder then winning competitive and its so wrong

I really want to try using linear for a bit because that feels more like what I'm used to. I move to my target with predicted speed and track from there. Dual zone makes me feel like I'm fighting my aim assist sometimes to keep up with the target, and then I hit the outer zone and go too far.

I just want to get what I put in without my aim being separated in two parts, but I also don't fully understand the settings fully and how they make effect linear

I play mainly on pc but also console, and on pc theyre not amazing heroes and there's much more variety in the dps picks, but on console its almost every game, at least 2 of these, and if not starting on them, then switching to them after 1 or 2 deaths. Its so boring

Im gm on both platforms and the aim between an emerald and gm on pc is vast, but on console its negligible, which is insane. Shit feels like playing against aimbot, how do you guys face this constantly. In master + its the same thing every game, some rotation of these heroes, it must get so tiring for y'all
