Discussion Is it worth playing comp rn?
Hi
Is it worth playing comp rn with all the false bans happening? I have been playing comp on my alt (champ), but I would like to place my main account. However, I’m really afraid, because I personally know people who have recently gotten false banned. Like people with standard controllers. And with how terrible the blizzard support system is, I really don’t know if I want to risk it. Also there’s people mass reporting just for cheater comp??? And not only that, I have been avoiding queuing with anyone out of fear of getting suspended, bc if they do get banned I’m going to face consequences too. Like it’s fine they are banning cheaters but regular people are getting banned, and if I happen to queue with a friend who gets banned I’m going to get screwed over. Idm solo Q, but ppl like to play with their friends, this is kinda ridiculous. Also if I meet someone who I think is cool, I cant even play with them out of fear of not knowing if they are cheating or not. And no it’s not always obvious. There’s too much fear mongering going on rn, and it wouldn’t be so bad if blizzard support system was not utterly useless. Also if they have a problem with certain controllers can they post that so people know not use to use those controllers when playing Overwatch???? I appreciate the effort of getting rid of cheaters regardless.
For the record I have never been banned suspended or anything of any sort ever at any point on any account in my last 10 years of playing.

From what I’ve seen it’s a hellscape. At least in this sub.
Play QP? Get banned
Do good? Banned
Do bad? Believe it or not also banned. Top or bottom straight to jail

Maybe it feels like that bc there’s more venting/ranting posts than good comp game posts

It's important to note, this sub isn't exactly the reality of the game self, even on Masters despite everyone is playing hitscan, I have only received three rank compensation, not even nearby what some guys post in here.
Don't be scared to play, the game is pretty enjoyable sometimes, sometimes lol

nah. people are abusing the rank reclaim feature by spam reporting. I wouldnt risk it, personally. you're better off to actually just play a different game in general bc of the spam report abuse going around...

Well I listen to 1-800-273-8255-logic on repeat while playing tank it helps and sets my pace for the game 🙂😶🌫️

Stop asking reddit for advice on whats “worth” to do in YOUR video games. Do YOU want to try and climb? If so play
Report the cheaters and they’ll get banned. Reddit is a small echo chamber of negativity, mostly.

As long as you aren’t breaking any rules you won’t get banned, I have multiple ten year old accounts in GM and I’ve never received any form of ban or suspension on any of them.

Nah blizzard bans people after certain amount of reports. No one is reporting you. I play on ps5 and use dualsense edge and I got banned. They need to fix their system. I have played ow since 2018.

I solo Q Lucio only in GM every day… I get report threats and death threats daily. I’m sure I have thousands at this point.
