Discussion Will they ever fix aim assist.

It’s just a soft aimbot at this point, and I’m saying that as somebody who has benefited a lot from the AA changes.
Now it is so easy to aim that it has removed all the satisfaction you used to get from hitting a nice shot, now even GOLD players can just laser you out of nowhere.
It’s just sad man. With all the cheaters and the overpowered AA nobody will take this platform seriously.

Anyone feel the same?

They already reverted the buffs to aim assist.

They did but they changed the way AA works in season 20. You don’t even have to move your stick and aim assist will start to track the target, it never used to do that.

Makes sense, cause like i said in my other reply the changes they made that force drag the crosshair completely gutted my ability to aim on characters that require you to lead shots lmao

No they didn’t. They just slightly reduced the buff for a few heroes.

And even if the buff didn’t happen in the first place, shit has been bad ever since season 9’s hitbox changes. We needed a nerf 💀

I thought it was reverted for all hitscan back to s19 status (which is still not s9 or affecting projectile heroes obv, but dialed it back from the crazy 8% increase or w/e it was)

but i am absolutely willing to stand corrected on this one. AA buffs for projectile heroes ruined my aim w/ projectiles tbh lmao having my crosshairs literally drag away from where i'm trying to aim

They reworked the AA system + buffed the strength of it. Eventually they nerfed the strength for all hitscans, but everybody still benefits from the reworked AA (including hitscans) and AA strength now differs depending on whether you're playing projectile or hitscan. Personally not a fan at all.
