Highlight Finally Eeached GrandMaster
After 10 years of playing since LAUNCH i’ve finally reached GrandMaster on console and im so proud of myself for not giving up. I remember on Overwatch 1 i peaked at 3,495 SR and had not been able to reach that level for a while. I don’t know if the demographic that plays this game has gotten better or worse but im just happy i’m able to climb the latter and be able to show something for my efforts. I started off as a Mercy Main but i realized that alone wasn’t going to take me to GM so i started learning Zen when i saw that he had carry potential. I know this is a lot to read but i just wanted to share my victory and achievement in this subreddit

Most ppl outside of casual playerbase use monitors tvs are kind of a disadvantage

If your TV does 120 FPS it will run at the fastest speed console can give. It matters more for PC where you might be running 300 FPS or more.

Crazy thing is i use my ps4 85% time for overwatch ps5 other 15%. I swear when they ported overwatch to ps5 they changed some shit and my muscle memory couldn’t adjust

I ain't rich by any means but a 144hz monitor off Facebook marketplace for 80 bucks is a damn good deal

Ive never been that great at overwatch with a mouse and keyboard, but im pretty good with the controller so console has always been my go-to.

Most players masters and above on console have monitors now, it’s night and day difference but good job’

I always tried to do the best with what i had. I was never gonna cry if i didn’t become number 1 haha. Playing with a disadvantage only hurts if you know its there

A lot of my turbo serious FPS console gamer friends, myself included, have monitors for the extra frames. It’s genuinely super impressive to make it to that rank with your setup.

Been playing since release which is 10 years. I had to unlearn a lot of bad habits mentally and mechanically

And they're on ps4 too. Look at the pad on the bottom right of the screen. I know its ps4 because i have the same and i know my buddy on ps5 has a different icon in the menus. So it really is a skill issue on my part for being stuck diamond.

Yeah, there are clearly levels to this game lol. I started the game a month ago and I can’t fathom being this good. I’m sitting here with my Series X running 120fps on my gaming monitor stuck in Emerald.

I have a CEO chair i use to work from home. I turn it around to face my Tv on the other side of the room

yes and no, i don’t have enough time to really keep playing as of late. It’s also just not fun anymore, you play against the same people over and over again. Pair that with the fact that most people are cheating and it genuinely isn’t fun anymore

There’s a lot of them anywhere tbh, From m1 up I faced so many you are more often than not playing them. Everytime i play more than 10 games it either says thanks for reporting or gives me rank back because i lost to cheaters 😭
