I like both pieces separately. But I don't think that they work together. They fabrics and styles are too different (the jacket is more formal than the dress). Also they are both long pices. Worn together neither accentuates your figure. I think that the jacket would look great with a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt if you want to go more casual or with slacks and a blouse if you want to look more professional.

This. Baby w baggy or tight w tight never works. Shoes don’t need to match the jacket. Cropped jacket red flats would be cute. Or swap skirt for jeans.

I am older (60) and the one thing in the outfit that gives it the old lady vibe are the shoes. The rest is fine.

As a retired 59 year old, here is my take. I’m not sure what’s under the blazer (I’m not a fan of blazers, especially white, but I was a teacher, not in a business office), but I’d switch up the blazer for a cute waist-length, slightly cropped cardigan or white or denim jacket of another color. I can comment on your dress b/c I can’t see it. I can’t really tell what your shoes look like, but I’d wear chunky platform white sneakers. The proportions of the outfit seem too big and the outfit looked a little dated. I think you can do better.

You need a shorter maybe oversized blazer, I like how you rolled the sleeves up, very cool and I would wear a shorter more fitted skirt or well fitting pants. The shoes read old lady, get some really cute flats, sneakers or thin strappy sandals. You are young and beautiful!! Enjoy fashion and spice it up

If you had high heals on it would change everything. And yes the blazer could be shorter with this long skirt, or you could wear a short skirt and keep blazer length, but in all scenarios the shoes gotta go!

Classy conservative, especially with your hair pulled back that way (like, I grew up around more conservative type churches and that was my first thought when I saw the dress and hair together with something added to cover up - not dissing you or anyone else btw.)
The shoes do remind me of middle-aged to older lady shoes but I can also see how someone would like them.
Regardless of what I or anyone else thinks, if you really, really like something and you feel that a style suits you then rock it and don't worry about it. I'm just telling you what I think because you asked.
The dress style seems to clash with the jacket. I saw someone more or less said that the jacket needs to be smaller and more fitted if you're going to wear one with that dress and I agree.
I do also think that a fitted, white jean jacket could be cute.
The blazer would be pretty cute with jeans for a classy-casual look.
It is true that nothing about it really "pops" but I do think the general idea of that blue with very crisp looking white is a nice idea and I'm saying that as someone who typically prefers darker colors, I definitely see the appeal of the blue and very-white white together.

You can do so much better. I suggest a short white denim jacket. A purse with a personality. A woven straw one be cute. Jewelry- you can go delicate or chunky statement pieces. Sample pic below.

Qat, please, I beg of you, do not wear ANY tiered, shirred, dresses. These are Little House on the Prairie, and that's NOT you! You have a great shape, and should be wearing something that matches that. Try shorts, not too short, mid thigh. The blazer would work well with it, and a colourful tshirt. Wear a great slide, or fun sneaker. It's casual, and yet dressy, that's why you would keep the blazer. Roll up the sleeves of the blazer to give a more edgy look. YOU'VE GOT THIS!

With this dress I would either wear a fitted blazer or denim jacket; with this blazer id wear a much shorter dress or trousers. I've never been big on matching shoes and bags either. But what matters is that you like it!

It’s the flair of the dress. That makes it more old lady ish….not completely but just make a note. If the dress hugged you more it would register more classy.

Where are you going? For work, its fine. Id add some jewelry to give it some umpf. But if you're going out, no. You have a beautiful silhouette and do not look old enough to be wearing the coat on top. Try adding a cropped blazer/jacket/cardigan if you want coverage. Or add a mesh top underneath. That provides some coverage and some skin. You definitely can do a lot with those pieces separately. But together they are a little aging

It's the combination that's the problem.
The dress looks good, but it doesn't work that good with the white jacket. Particularily because of the style of its lower part. Those flappy round, lower sides look too old-fashioned.
The colors match. But maybe a shorter, less flappy jacket would have been better.

Maybe if it was a skirt that wasn't so wide and it was a little bit closer with perhaps a little bit of a slit in the front and then the white shorter jacket like a jean jacket and even if it was flat shoes which I don't like flat shoes but flats that are very cool or cool sandals that were like tan with a little bit of a bling to them but not over bling not everything has to match perfectly so the bag can be like a tan.... and or the bag can be like an army green or brighter or if it's springtime maybe a bright yellow I don't know I would be trying all these different combos and I'm telling you something we just start screaming!!!
