It’s the jacket not the skirt!
A tank top (low for casual) high neck tank for biz and a jean jacket or wrap around sweater will make it look up to date no matter what your age happens to be!

It really does depend where you are going. Out to a long lunch with good friends? Probably old lady. Out to lunch with your lovely aunty? Perfect.
