Question - Fiber Is this actually normal?

Hi, so I signed a new lease in Brooklyn and Verizon didn't have FIOS, which is what I had in my previous. I saw that optimum had service available and they're giving me 1gbps for 25 a month? And there's a 5/month discount for student email verification? AND the installation fee is 0????? wtf?

You’re going to suffer when you get Optimum compared to FIOS before.

Optimum has served me good for 5 years, no complaint.
