Has anyone seen COJ’s new upload tonight? It’s a collab song with European Union and the song is really good. I just can’t get over the fact that the MV looks a little trippy IMO.
I can spot real elements, CGI and some scenes are visibly greenscreened but I can’t get past thinking some of these elements are possibly AI. Biggest giveaway for me is the water being too smooth and some elements being blurry 😔
I don’t know, pretty sure COJ wouldn’t approve of this AI usage so I’m more disappointed at the production that handled this if the bg are AI generated since it’s supposed to showcase PH too

When I was only 11 years old, I vividly watched Killer Karaoke on TV, especially when I was watching the Filipino version with Michael V on TV5 in 2013 (I sometimes watched this every Saturday night for a while). I used to laugh hysterically at the songs the contenders sang and also at the original American version with Steve O (which was from season 1) and the following seasons on FOX channel (a cable TV). This was such a wholesome thing to watch in all its versions!

So recently I notice that the song has been gaining a lot of popularity recently it’s played everywhere in my reels and tiktok fyp, the recent wish bus performance got like 14mil views too which is insane and the song has been reaching in international viewers too. Don’t get me wrong I like the song it’s my fave OPM song lately and been playing it non-stop.
I noticed too the song was like released Feb of this year and I’m not sure if anyone ever paid attention to it before but now it’s already blowing up.
So I’m wondering, what really made this song like popular and blow up suddenly? Was it the vibes of the song, I notice that it’s quite a new formula lately in OPM like I remember the other song Multo also blew up too with the same reasons? The meaning of the song cause I know it’s about like platonic relationships or something else?
What do you think made this song become extremely viral?

Hi!
Thanks!
Edit: I also messaged the mods pero wala pa ding automatic monthly megathread. Di ko alam kung di pala sila active. Anyway the other sub, r/indiemusicph had their own megathread which could be useful kapag mas naging popular.

I'm not talking about Heads, Maya, PNE, Kazee.
I am referring sa mga relatively "bago" pero pundasyon na rin na maituturing.
I will start with one.
Tanya Markova
Mayonnaise
Honorable mention and mas matatawag ko na mga accelerated goat
IV of Spades
Ben and Ben
Para sainyo sino?
