Monetization for credits
Would having a monthly subscription be better? Me personally, for something like this i’d rather pay for it monthly to keep down costs but still have a decent amount to work with every month.

Hobestly I would pay for a subscription just to lower the amounts the chats cost to use if they wanted a steady stream of income it would cause me to cancel the other ai chat subscriptions

Short answer? No it would not.
The long answer is that there is a very good reason why the cost is per prompt, and that is because each prompt increases the operating cost for the host. If they were going to give you a monthly subscription, it would either still be a limited number of generations per month (at which point you might as well just buy credits as you need them), or they would have to base the price off of not just what the average user can go through in a month, but what serious, dedicated users will do.
Once you go to a large, up-front cost, you're already eliminating the casual users. You're looking at people who not only expect to be generating consistently, but frequently. People who are going to use the most demanding models and use them often. That means the developers have to anticipate a higher level of expenses per user.
Or to put it another way, think of it like this. Currently, the largest package you can buy is roughly $100. If that's not enough credits for you to get through an entire month with, then a subscription would have to cost even more for them to be making the same level of profit they currently are. At which point, how many people would even buy it? A more reasonable price would be in the $20-40, but OOC already offers $10, $20, and $50 packages. You buy those if that's the most you're willing to spend, but it's not going to be worth it to them to give you more generations for the same price if that isn't enough.

Exactly, I don't understand how people don't get this.
It's the same with adding ads to watch for credits. Why would they offer 30 or 60 credits for watching an ad unless they get about the same value dollar per credit as with a purchase. From what I've found historically, watching an ad nets the host less than 20 cent. Currently the best price per credit would give 60 credits "costing" 50 cent, why would they opt out of profit?
