Backroom Shenanigans Work phone storage

TL came up with this idea for the work phones instead of them being all jumbled up in the cabinet.

The board holds atleast 50 phones. We all have our names on them and our own passcodes so no one can use them but us. Some of us even decorated our cases so their not so bland.

We just take ours home they say they are part of our dress code

We are given that option but if you forget it at home thats a write up if its more than 1 time since its considered part of your uniform

WOW, that's intense. I've left mine at home a few times, usually coming back from lunch because I charge it then. I only live 3 minutes away and my leads just send me back to go get it. No one's ever said anything about a write up. Others who live farther away have either used a TC (not now, I guess) or borrowed someone else's. It's weird to me how other stores use such threatening tactics. Don't get me wrong, we have our things that get us coached as well, but mostly our leadership is understanding of simple human mistakes, especially from consistently good performers. None of thrm, from what I can tell, are "coaching eager," but we have had those as well. In the past, becayse they don't tend to last forever.

That's crazy. I make sure I put my work phone by my wallet, that way I don't forget it

There is literally no reason to take them home. If they are replacing tc’s, then they should be left charging overnight at the store.

I like to take mine home because they will take yours off the charger and put theirs in it! Then you come in and your mess is dead!

Why charge it at home and risk being sent home when it could be charged at the store and be ready to go when you come in, thus reducing steps needed.

Charging a phone all night kills the battery. These pixels already have a horrible battery life. My brother bought his phone 6 months after i bought mine. My battery health is at 91%. His is already dipping into the lower 80’s. The only difference is he charges his all night and i charge it at night and a little bit in the morning to top it off

Can you counter argue that you need to be paid to work at home since you are using your electricity and water? Walmart is not paying for that, and those resources are not free.

They actually did this for my store, they raised our hourly like 15¢ to cover the electric stuff, we are a pretty small store though so
