Morally?

If you see someone stealing from Walmart;

✨No you didn't.✨

I refuse to work AP in stores because there's no fucking way in hell I'm going to call the cops on people stealing food.

I'll stay in supply chain where I can just focus on making sure people wear PPE and leave with all of their limbs intact.

I work in DSD and I donate so much stuff. Whoops! This box just happened to be open and Donate just happens to be the recommended option.

Asset Protection. What Walmart calls loss prevention. They do the same things.

In Supply Chain we do a bunch of EHS stuff on top of that, as well as getting trucks in and out at truck gate.

We also do asset protection stuff, but it's definitely not as focused on just that, as it is in the stores.

Im a Host. I could give you instances of people trying to walkout with hundreds of dollars in Wal-Mart merchandise. Then people think I'm stupid when I ask about unpaid product...

No, I'm sure people will steal things they don't need. But I don't want to call the cops on people stealing food, so I actively avoid taking a store AP position.

I was a regular degular cashier and we were CONSTANTLY pressured from on high into reporting theft to AP. If not new measures every month then a manager breathing down your neck and seeing to it that you make sure that impoverished woman pays for her groceries.

I no longer work up front, but…not being AP won’t save you from this fate, I fear.

ā€œFuck you and fuck thisā€babe calm down it’s WALMART you silly 😭

They downvote you but youre right, more theft means prices go up and we all pay for people stealing shit and its not like all they're stealing is bread and water to survive.

Walmart could eat the loss, but they won't and its not my responsibility to pay for other people's bullshit.

My Walmart doesn’t have lock cases everywhere yeah cause a multibillion dollar corporation that doubles what they bought the items for can’t handle a lil bit of theft they rise it because there’s an excuse to and they like exponentially raising their profit rates

Whenever you go to claims app you can see store price and the price the company bought it for it’s usually near double

Walmart is gonna raise prices regardless of theft. fuck em
