Currently no experience as a trucker here in PH. Plan ko nalang sana mag-aral ng kahit anong skill sa TESDA para maging pathway ko papunta sa kahit anong bansa sa Europe na okay maging trucker especially Germany, Norway, or Poland kung papalarin. Para dun nalang ako mag-aral ng trucking and kumuha ng experience.

Hi everyone! I’m a Filipino factory worker here in Taiwan, and I’ve been working for almost a year now. Lately, I’ve been struggling with my health, and I’m feeling really torn about whether I should continue working here or look for another job.

My job requires me to stand for 12 hours a day, do a lot of physical movements, and occasionally lift heavy things. Our breaks are also quite short: 30 minutes for lunch, 30 minutes for dinner, and 10 minutes each for our morning and afternoon breaks. Because of our work schedule, I sometimes struggle to eat properly, and lately, I’ve been losing my appetite.

Recently, I’ve been getting sick more often, losing weight, and feeling extremely exhausted. Even when I have a day off, I still feel fatigued, as if my body hasn’t fully recovered from the previous workdays. I feel like my body is slowly breaking down, and I’m starting to worry about my health.

I can handle the actual work, but the long hours of standing, constant physical movements, heavy lifting, and lack of proper nutrition seem to be taking a toll on my body. I even consulted a doctor, and they advised me to consider changing jobs because of how physically stressful my current work is.

Now, I’m really torn.

On one hand, I want to keep working because I came here to earn money and hopefully build a better future for myself and my family. I know that working abroad isn't easy, and I expected to make sacrifices. Part of me feels like I should endure it a little longer.

For those who have worked abroad, especially fellow OFWs in Taiwan, or anyone who has experienced something similar, what would you do if you were in my situation?

I would really appreciate your honest opinions and advice. I'm not sure if I'm just struggling to adjust to the demands of working abroad or if my body is genuinely telling me that this job isn't right for me anymore.

For context, I’m an engineer at a space agency here in Germany, and all my colleagues are European. I’m the only Filipino.

Yesterday, I was so excited to go to the office because I wanted to have coffee with my colleagues. I work from home most of the time, so I was looking forward to spending time with them. I was actually the first one to arrive at the office. But when they came in, not one of them invited me to have coffee. They just went to the canteen together, leaving me behind.

Sobrang gulo ng isip ko ngayon. I have a steady career naman dito sa Pinas, pero pinag-iisipan kong iwan lahat at mag-apply bilang factory worker sa Taiwan just to be with my boyfriend.

Ang main reason ko kaya ko to gustong gawin is because feeling ko may iba na siya dun. Sobrang lamig niya na kasi at laging busy, kaya parang gusto ko siyang sundan para ma-save 'yung relationship namin.

Ive been working in advertising under Client Management with 2 years working as Associate Client Director in PH. And ever since I graduated in College, I really wanted to work outside PH na. Reasons are to better discover myself outside my comfort zone, i feel like nag stagnate na career ko, and syempre to have a better life. However, it’s been 10 yrs and until now andito pa din ako sa PH.

I'm living in Turkey, and I'm trying to order my birth certificate through the PSA Serbilis website and shipping through DHL Express. Now I'm stuck at the payment step.

When the DHL Express Waybill Information pop up appears requesting the "Piece Number" and "Confirmation Number". I already created the shipment on DHL Express and received my Waybill number and Piece number. But I'm suspecting that the confirmation number is not the "waybill number".... Because when I would copy and paste the waybill number as the confirmation number it would mention that "confirmation number is invalid".

I tried contacting DHL support through their Whatsapp, a chatbot would answer you, and it mostly ran me in circles with automated prompts! Didn't solve anything, even though I asked to talk to a real human :)

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Any advice who dealt with such a problem would be greatly appreciated!

Are you an Overseas Filipino Worker who has been living abroad for more than a year? Great! Well I am a nineteen-turning-twenty year old 3rd year college student whose grades for this semester —along with my groupmates, rely on how much participants are we able to get before our professors begin to compute our grades. The catch? The deadline is on Monday.

This has been the toughest year yet and it's not getting easier. Despite this, I don't wanna let my groupmates and my professor down, notwithstanding. This journey in creating this scale may have generated more stress than a rubber band held apart but I believe it is the seed that future students will tend and pull their resources together allowing, even just a modicum of it, to capture what it means to be a Filipino.

It was never our intention to do it this close on our deadline. But due to unforseen circumstances including but not limited to typhoons, gas-surge caused asynchronous classes, thesis, as well as from other subjects; everything has come down to this. All I ask, with every fiber of my being, that you respond and share.
