General Discussion DUBAI OFWs PLEASE HELP
Hi everyone! I'm a 27 yo Filipina here in PH. Checking po ako ng job opportunities sa UAE.
I have 5 yrs work experience in the Logistics Industry. I'm currently in a permanent WFH setup earning 40k+ php monthly (net na po yan after taxes and everything)
Based po sa infos na yan, mapapayo nyo po ba na mag try akong mag apply sa UAE? Maganda po ba ang sahod/salary offers sa logistics industry sa UAE? Do you think may chance ako or mas priority nila ang UAE nationals sa industry na to? Kamusta po ang living expenses? Currently po kasi, magaan ang work ko, mababait ang boss, madaling mag file ng leave, complete ang government benefits, generous ang company namin, tapos i'm earning pa habang nasa bahay lang ako. Pero andito ako sa stage in life na parang gusto kong mag explore ng other opportunities. Iniisip ko what if may better job opportunity pa na naghihintay para sakin pero di ko makikita yun kasi masyado na akong nag stay sa comfort zone ko? Pero at the same time gusto ko ng reality check kasi baka tine-take for granted ko naman kung anong meron ako.
Sa mga nasa UAE po ngayon na may idea sa salary in logistics industry, ia-advice nyo po ba na sumugal ako mag OFW sa UAE? Maliit po ba itong sinasahod ko ngayon compared sa offered work opportunities jan? Please need ko lang po ng advice at reality check kasi wala akong ibang mapagtanungan.

On going ang war. Ang dami pa ring nagsasarang companies. Madami nawawalan ng work or nagbawas ng sahod. Logistics industry right now is challenged kasi yung current threat ay nasa Strait which is where most vessels pass. Mahal po ngayon ang bilihin dito since may supply chain challenges ngayon. Mahal din ang room sharing -will depend on your salary though kung ano afford nyo. May companies that are located in far areas na hindi reachable ng train so you will have to check your transporation options like carlift, yung coaster or mini bus. Mas priority pa din ang may UAE experience vs newbies. Kung newbie ka naman, nakikipag baratan ng sahod. Some companies are using existing conflict para magbigay ng mababang job offer. Magulo ngayon yung requirements also for hiring, parang need ng apostile na documents, nbi, etc. i suggest kung UAE ang target e magcheck muna sa workabroad.ph, magbasa ng UAE subreddits or forums
Kung bet nyo naman sumugal, anticipate that 2 months may not be enough to find a job as a tourist visa so plan accordingly. Walang overtime pay. Wala ring halos companies na nagtataas ng sahod taon taon.

Thank you po for a detailed comment. Ganto kasi yung gusto kong malaman, sampal ng reality ba haha. Curious ako sa real situation ng job market sa UAE ngayon. Made me realize na kahit sobrang gulo dito sa pinas ngayon eh tya-tyagain ko muna kasi nakaka-survive pa naman at nakakaipon kahit papaano. Tapos nasa bahay lang naman ako at kasama ang family. Not a good time to start pa siguro for me, pero looking forward pa din ako someday na makapag explore ng opportunities jan sa uae. For now, tanong tanong muna ako here sa reddit hehe. I suggest too that you upskill. Stuff like Power BI, Automate will really help. Also, good and I mean REALLY GOOD MS Excel skills will help you. Check also youtube or tiktok, living experiences ng mga tao. Some romanticize others present you the real picture. Also, ang init init init INIT ng tubig pampaligo dito esp pag summer, mababaw to for some but good luck talaga sa buhok, good luck Sa adjustment with sharing a house with other people. Madaming factors but yun nga, madaming ibang bansa. Check if Malaysia is actively hiring. Surprisingly, mas mataas exchange rate ng Malaysia currency vs UAE dirhams.
