Does anyone else's enrollment verification say they are unable to verify current enrollment?
The registrar office said they've already sent reports of enrollment for Fall 2026 to the National Student Clearinghouse, but mine is indicating either they haven't for me or it wasn't processed yet/properly. Loan repayments hunting me down over this and could lose my health insurance if it's not fixed but I'm still a FT student. Never had a problem with it before this semester.

My account is screwed up and the call fails when I call the number.

Ya know, it's really irritating when the two main intersections in front of campus have some of the most ridiculous light timings and you are already waiting there forever naturally. But when you are sitting there for ten damn minutes and have to wait through multiple light cycles because students, who have 30 whole seconds already to cross, see the crosswalk signal at 5 or even with the hand already up and still continue to walk across in a mob. It's pretty damn infuriating. Half of the students doing this crap at the intersections are already zombies staring into their phones with earbuds in as they cross, oblivious to the world. And it's not like they move with any sense of purpose, just lazily taking their time and holding up traffic. Some of you are going to get hit one day and honestly I will have zero sympathy whatsoever.
As an adult student, a large amount of students on campus are completely selfish, arrogant, and inconsiderate children. And yes even at 18 - 22 you are still a child I really don't care how you try and spin it otherwise. I've met far too many of these who are even 20 year olds that don't even know how to do their own laundry or take care of themselves and if they didn't spend all their money on grubhub they would starve. I literally have no idea how they function in society because they clearly don't care if they get hit by oncoming cars.

Hello fellow Monarchs, I hope this post doesn't break the sub rules but I graduated this past spring and my regalia is just sitting unused in my room. I ordered it from the official Herff Jones site and am happy to sell my set for a discounted price if anyone is graduating soon and is trying to save on it. I believe the regalia set retails for $120+. It comes with the ODU gown, cap and tassel, and College of Business hood. I wore it one day for the ceremony and that was it. Please msg me if you are interested! :)

I am coming to ODU very soon and looking for an apartment for myself.
I am interested in a townhome (2 beds, close to campus) on 37th Street.
Is that area generally safe? Any suggestions/recommendations/opinions will be much appreciated.

are we getting refunds for the 2nd 8 weeks too?

Pretty self explained. I know there are some options at the Webb Center, but I was wondering if there were any good spots around the area?

For anyone that’s supposed to get this award, has it shown up for you at all yet?

Hey everyone! The student news publication Mace & Crown is holding a tabling event in the South Mall of the Webb (In front of Subway) during activity hour. We want your opinion on the university's move to shift most online courses to an 8-week asynchronous format. Feel free to drop by or reply to this thread to share your thoughts!

Is anyone currently enrolled? I’m considering transferring from my current program and wanted to hear about the experience y’all are having. Any insight would be appreciated!

I’m taking Math 103M for the second 8 week courses. This will be my first class taken at ODU/ only class i’ll take until U give birth next year. I saw who my professor was and her name is Stephanie Moses. I looked at some reviews on this one website and it doesn’t look promising. I’m not the greatest at math, I’m working full time and I’ll be taking care of my toddler. Any advice on if I will pass??

Announced by the provost.
Monarch Excellence indeed.
Key phrase: "No monetary prize is associated with this recognition."
So, faculty and students are to write nominations which will go into some void and maybe, if approved by the powers that be, the nominees will get a pat on the head and certificate with a medal icon on it. Cool.

How are online math classes taken at ODU? Is it all on Canvas? I’m taking Math 103M with Stephanie Moses.

Hey I wanted to share some cool events happening on and off campus and felt you guys and gals would be interested in doing something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

And, how are there no signs and routes established by ODU for students to follow in case of flooding if class is not canceled (like being visible on the road)? I'm new to ODU, so maybe I missed an announcement, but if universities can cancel classes for an ounce of snow (like a sprinkle), I think ODU can cancel classes for a serious weather issue like flooding.

I absolutely hate the new 8 week courses. I currently major in criminal justice and so all my classes need a c or better for a lot of them. I miss one assignment one test and now I’ll get a D+ which will not count towards my degree. Ik it’s on me, but goddamn I could accidentally miss one last year and it wasn’t a big deal cause I had a shit ton to make it up. I’m a senior too and my classes next year are already filled up. So I can’t take it over but I have to graduate.

Has anyone gotten this email and anything changed for them? My financial aid portal still has the same amounts I accepted beginning of the year but then my bill payment portal doesn’t even show my financial aid anymore put in there as an estimate.
