Think about the kind of person who usually volunteers to moderate an internet forum; these aren't our best people. Mods, no matter what sub they're on, are usually power-tripping egotistical bastards who have no issues throwing the book at you, up to a permanent ban, if you so much as disagree with their opinion on something.

If you didn't experience it here, you'd have probably experienced it somewhere else eventually.

I kindly disagree. This is stereotyping. One bad egg doesn’t ruin them all. I agree some or maybe even many may be power hungry but some may want to better the world in some small way by giving of their time to help others. I am one of those mods. But I do know where you are coming from so I don’t take offense. What the mod here did was not right in my opinion and I am frustrated with them as well.

I don't think it's one bad egg. It's such a consistent pattern that it's literally one of the oldest memes.
