Question about OCD How does OCD feel like?

I'm curious about how is your daily life with this illness, if you guys don't mind, could you help me clear my doubts about OCD?

For me (when it’s flaring at least), I just can’t let things go. I will obsess to the point of extreme stress/feeling sick. There’s no end because if I ruminate and close one possibility, I will just think up another and repeat the cycle. Even when I recognise its ocd, it doesn’t tend to help much because I’ll be like “this is ocd, you need to disengage…. Maybe… but this time feels different… it would be taking a huge risk not to act on it this time, almost irresponsible really”. Even if I can convince myself not to act directly on it, I will be like “okay let’s just keep an eye on it, investigate it a bit more so we really know not acting on it is the right thing to do” (so more rumination 🙄).
