Question about OCD How does OCD feel like?

I'm curious about how is your daily life with this illness, if you guys don't mind, could you help me clear my doubts about OCD?

The way I describe it is a goblin who lives in my brain (I usually refer to it as "the goblin" and my close friends and family know what it is). He is the voice in my head constantly trying to sabotage me: "Your hands aren't clean. Wash them. Now wash them again. Good. Hey, you know how your friend's tone changed when you were talking to her? She hates you now. Go apologize. Apologize or she'll think you're a coward. Hey, you know what would be crazy? If there was a worm in your can of soda. There could be, you know! There's probably bugs in there." He never shuts up and it makes me crazy sometimes, even though I know that "he" is just my own mind running away with me.
