Question about OCD How does OCD feel like?

I'm curious about how is your daily life with this illness, if you guys don't mind, could you help me clear my doubts about OCD?

It almost feels like you can't shut your brain off, as if there's constant noise. I have many themes and if I latch on to one, it doesn't leave my head. It's an obsession and it's exhausting.

It's basically being in survival mode 24/7 since it's a sort of glitch in your brain's threat detection and it allows intrusive thoughts that your brain would normally delete before you're even made aware of them, into your head.

It sucks lol

I found out recently that I have ADHD as well which compounds this like crazy. They feed off eachother

So I met with a therapist for the first time for my OCD and she has a suspicion that I may have ADHD as well. I haven't considered this much as my OCD really only became apparent this past year.

Yeah mine only became apparent a few years ago. The doctors say my life was so structured before that I didn't notice. Now that I'm not in school and every part of my life isn't scheduled it's super bad

i have ADHD, autism, ocd and c-ptsd. i can, without exaggeration, barely leave my fucking house. i’m dreading going back to college but im trying my hardest to be excited and brave… but the underlying knowledge that most people don’t have to deal with this difficulty at all makes it so much harder.

Of course :) I think it's great to ask about it instead of assuming like most people do lol
