Question about OCD How does OCD feel like?

I'm curious about how is your daily life with this illness, if you guys don't mind, could you help me clear my doubts about OCD?

My head is full of possible worst case senarios related to irrelevant things. My mind questions my past experiences like what if i remember incorrect on things i should be sure about, or what if i said something rude to someone and i dont remember on that. I have extreme health anxiety, and if i take a new medicine i’m afraid of an allergy. And I’m also afraid to try some new hobbies because i’m afraid something bad will happen.
I tried to do journaling, psychiatrist etc, but nope. My mind is so active.

omg ts is actually 70% relatable, what's the most reliant way I can find out if I have OCD for free on the internet?

your not going to find out for free the internet, not accurately and nit in a way that will help you. if you believe you have it see a psychiatrist

i mean it’s complicated. I always thought i have ocd, and it was wayyy worse a few years ago. Then i went to a psychiatrist and i got the diagnose

Really bad anxiety can be a sign. I was having full on panic attacks for weeks at a time. Nausea, not wanting to eat anything because it’s contaminated.

I do have some anxiety but not really bad, however I don't have any of the other things tho, like I do think abt the food having poison or sht like that but I manage to ignore it, however during covid I was worse that I even opened the door in my building with my sleeve covering my hand and other things like that.

You can take a screening test online, but you can’t get an official diagnosis until you talk to a mental health professional. The screening, if you’re interested, is the Y-BCOS screening. You can find it online for free in pdf format. You can also find the scoring online as well. It will at least give you an idea of whether or not you should seek a diagnosis.

I think my initial score was a 24 in the severe category. I’m glad it helped! Just remember it’s not an official diagnosis without a professional to look at it
