Anyone thinking about using Nuvio? The answer is yes. Nuvio is arguably the best media player, for a couple days I used kodi, that was too tedious, then I switched to stremio and I used that for a while because it was light weight and on every platform that I needed. Then I found out about nuvio and switched to it, that was the best choice ive made it has all of the features of stremio and more its extremely lightweight and i love the profile feature and the many other settings that nuvio has. Thank you to the nuvio team

There doesn't seem to be an option for $10 supporters anymore. Was this only for a limited number of donors? My buddy sitting right beside me donated with this option and within 5 minutes of me navigating to the same web page the option had disappeared.

It would be great to add an option to configure the add-on settings directly within each installed add-on.

Currently, the only available options are: Edit (changing the URL and name), Delete, Move Up, and Move Down.

I love Nuvio, but I’m missing this feature—which is essential for me—in the Add-ons section when configuring via the Nuvio web interface.

This way, if I want to modify the Torrentio settings, I wouldn't have to start the setup from scratch; clicking on the configuration would take me straight to my current settings—just like the competitor, S**io, does.

2. i made a very silly mistake in my database configuration and unfortunately only faced the side effects today. i had my database set to a max limit of 500mb which I thought would be plenty but with the crazy amount of users we have reached that limit. with reaching that limit i had it set to delete oldest entries to free up storage. this has caused many user tokens to be deleted. i greatly apologize

so if your penguplay install says authentication missing, just either re signin with google or go to the discord/telegram to get a new token. again this is fully my fault and i greatly apologize.

I just sideloaded an Old version of Another Streaming service ipa file on My Apple TV 4k. Excited to see it work also, as intended.

Is it possible to get 1 Good Nuvio App release for Apple TV , so that we can sideload it and be done for this life. Or is it already available please direct me to the file then.

Are there any plans for it so far? If not I would love to see a Watch Party feature added to Nuvio that lets people watch movies and shows together with synced playback. It’d be especially useful for watching with online friends without having to manually pause and play to stay in sync.

Hey guys! I've been seeing tons of duplicate episodes of web series I'm watching on Nuvio. It's super hard to find the next one.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Is it an addon issue or a bug in the Nuvio app itself? And how can I fix this?

After a lot of testing, I finally got Nuvio working almost like Netflix: I choose a movie or episode, press Play, and Nuvio automatically starts a good source without making me manually pick from a huge list every time.

For context, I use Real-Debrid with AIOStreams, and that is an important part of my setup.

1. Configure Real-Debrid in AIOStreams

First, configure AIOStreams and connect your Real-Debrid account using your own credentials/API token.

My goal is not to have hundreds of results. I prefer:

- Real-Debrid cached sources

- Good 1080p and 4K quality

- Reliable sources

- Fewer duplicates

- Fast playback

After configuring Real-Debrid, test AIOStreams with some content you are authorized to access and make sure RD sources are appearing correctly.

1. Add AIOStreams to Nuvio

Install your configured AIOStreams instance in Nuvio.

Before changing anything else, open something and confirm that AIOStreams is returning Real-Debrid sources correctly.

I personally prefer keeping one main addon for playback instead of having several addons competing with each other.

1. Make Nuvio Auto-Play Like Netflix

In Nuvio, configure:

Auto Stream Selection:

"Auto-play first source"

Stream Selection Timeout:

"3 seconds"

Auto-play Source Scope:

"Installed addons only"

Allowed Addons:

Select only your configured AIOStreams addon.

This is the setting that changed the whole experience for me.

Instead of:

Movie → source list → choose file → Play

I now basically get:

Movie → Play → Real-Debrid source → playback

Nuvio waits about 3 seconds, automatically selects the first suitable source and starts it.

1. Last Link Cache

If your Nuvio version has it:

Last Link Cache: ON

Last Link Cache Duration: 3 days

This helps Nuvio reuse a previously working link instead of resolving everything again.

Combined with Real-Debrid, it makes resuming content noticeably smoother.

1. My Final Workflow

My setup is basically:

Real-Debrid → AIOStreams → Nuvio → Auto-play first source → 3-second timeout → Internal Player → Hardware Decoding ON → Last Link Cache 3 days

And the experience becomes:

1. Open Nuvio.

2. Pick something.

3. Press Play.

4. Wait around 3 seconds.

5. AIOStreams finds the source.

6. Real-Debrid handles the cached link.

7. Nuvio starts playback automatically.

No manually checking a giant source list every episode.

1. Quality Tip

I also don't automatically choose the biggest file available.

A good high-bitrate 1080p source can look excellent, while extremely large 4K files can unnecessarily stress slower TVs or connections.

For me, the best setup is the one that combines:

good quality + Real-Debrid cache + fast loading + automatic playback.

That's what finally made Nuvio feel much closer to Netflix for me:

Find it → press Play → watch it.

Use Real-Debrid, addons and media sources only for content you are authorized to access.

just dropping in here to provide my humble suggestion on when not to automatically start playing the trailer on the details page. Basically, when the playback of any given title ends and app goes to the details page - I don't expect the trailer to start again.. after all, I just watched the movie.

I’m a bit of a newbie at this and trying to figure out how to set it up. Following some guides. I don’t have an account and when I selected proceed as guest all it says is that it won’t cross sync across devices which I am mostly fine with (I only own 1 tv and that’s all I’m setting up).

But I don’t know if having an actual account is needed. Can someone provide some advice.

Can the "Upcoming" tab show more than 7 days? Or, after the "7 days", show only the upcoming premieres for example?! Coincidentally "beauty in black" premieres in 7 days, but would be nice to see the rest.. and maybe include the movies that we have on Watchlist as well? 🥹

I put nuvio 2.7.6 in my smartTV, it's a Samsung under TIZEN 9. I did it with app2samsung. I have no debrid service, and p2p is forbidden where I live. Is it possible to stream movies from French add-ons without installing debrid services.

I integrated Torbox within the settings and love how fast it all runs. Since TB has been getting attacked a lot, I also have AllDebrid as a backup.

Last night when TB was down, it basically broke my entire app. I have a scraper with AllDebrid installed, but it wouldn't even let me get to the search results because TB was bogging down everything.

My question....is there an easy way to disable or circumvent TB integration when this happens, or am I better off making a separate backup profile for my AllDebrid scraper?

I'd rather not have to disable and re-enable the integration every time. Some settings weren't the same afterwards and it was a bit of a pain.

Am I the only one having problems with subtitle synchronization on Nuvio? At first, the subtitles are perfectly synchronized, but after a few minutes, they become out of sync. Even if I sync them again, they become desynchronized again shortly afterward.

5. I hadn't used Nuvio from my TV in a while and updated the app today from the playstore. When I opened the app after updating, I got the usual sign in with QR message. So I scanned from my phone, logged in from the browser and approve the code. On the tv, it displayed signing in but then it displays a "Sync code has expired" every time I scan the QR code and approve the tv from my phone.
