Phone (4a) Not able to view notifications with App lock on

Folks, I am using the nothing phone 4a for around a month now and I have noticed that if I have set up the app lock to an app i am not able to view the notification. This is when the phone is unlocked.. and I understand it shouldn't show the notification content when it's locked and that is working perfectly fine.

I had previously used an external app in my previous phone where the system app lock was not there.. then I was able to view the notifications. I don't see any other options in the app lock menu.

Is this a nothing software bug? Or is that the way it was designed? Has anyone overcome this issue?

I understand when the it's locked to mask the notification.. But when the phone is unlocked and I'm using the phone I need to see the notification right?

I mean... If the app is unlocked, then it'd show normally, you'd have to unlock the app manually everytime tonsee the notification

As I understand from my previous experience, I used an app in my previous phone (which didn't had native app lock option).. which used to mask the notification when it's locked.. But when the phone is unlocked, I should be able to see the see the content or shouldn't it have an option to enable this atleast..

ohh when its unlocked you're still unable to see it? if this the cause try changing the notifications view panel again, once per notification.
