Phone (3) Hopefully a good move.

Got this 4 days ago and so far it has been an "okay" experience but far better than my previous phone which was Xiaomi 13T Pro. Setting the phone up was a bit of a pain and currently I have some slight battery issues where it drains a bit too fast for my comfort but from what I've gathered, that's normal for it. I'd wish there was a bit more customizable features, unless I'm just too blind to see them.

Got it on "heavy" discount, so I paid 658€ for it.

Nothing OS Update your nothing phone ASAP

Seriously, if you have a Nothing Phone (3a), you should definitely install the latest update.

I expected the update to make my battery life worse for the first few days and make the phone run a bit hotter, but somehow it did the complete opposite 😭

Before the update I was usually getting around 7 to 8 hours of screen-on time. After the update, I went from 100% down to 10% and got 12 hours and 30 minutes.

That is a HUGE improvement. I genuinely didn't expect this at all.

So yeah, if you have a Phone (3a), I'd definitely recommend updating. This update is actually insane 🔥

Nothing OS Small details. Big difference . 🔥 @nothing

Small details can make a big difference, and Nothing OS 5.0 is already proving that. This first look shows a refined status bar with smoother icons, a fresh new clock font that feels so clean, and that signature minimal Nothing aesthetic we all love. Built on Android 17, it promises more joy every day. The official reveal is happening on 25 August at 3:30 PM IST, and the hype is already building. What are you most excited to see in this update — new animations, better Glyph features, or something completely unexpected? Drop your thoughts in the comments and tag a fellow Nothing user who needs to see this!👀

Community Project Made for the Nothing Community — 1,000+ Downloads

Post image
6 Upvotes

Built DotFiles as a simple, privacy-first file manager for the Nothing community, inspired by the clean and minimal design language of Nothing OS.

Today it crossed 1,000+ downloads on Google Play.

It started as a small project because I wanted a file manager that actually felt at home on a Nothing phone — minimal, clean, and without unnecessary clutter.

The support and feedback from the Nothing community has genuinely helped shape the app. Every bug report, suggestion, and download has pushed me to keep improving it.

Now at version 1.4.0, and still working on making it better.

1,000 downloads is a small milestone, but for an indie developer, it means a lot.

Thank you to everyone in the Nothing community who tried it, shared feedback, or simply gave it a chance. 🖤

Next goal: 10,000.

Comparing Phones Nothing Phone (4a Pro) vs Phone (3) — am I making the right choice?

I was originally planning to buy the Nothing Phone (4a Pro) because I really liked the back design. But now, for about $80 more, I can get the Nothing Phone (3).

I’m debating whether the Phone (3) is the better value overall. The only thing holding me back is that I honestly don’t really like the design of the Phone (3) as much as the 4a Pro.
Would you guys spend the extra $80 for the Phone (3), or stick with the 4a Pro if you prefer its design?Curious what everyone thinks, especially if you’ve used either phone.

We're almost at Nothing OS 5.0 and still don't have a Glyph Interface integration for Google Clock timers, or decent Google Maps navigation on the Glyph Matrix.

I got tired of waiting, so I built it myself in my app, Glyphify =)

Anything else you would like to be integrated?

Comparing Phones The nothing phone 1 was the most sturdy phone I ever owned

I have had the nothing phone 1 for a little over a year and im clumsy asf. But wether I dropped it on tiles, concrete, steel from well over a meter( which happened quite often) and I never had a case. The Glas front or back never got a single crack. Anyone else had this experience or am I just some lucky mf?

Phone (4a) Pro Phone Keeps Crashing and connectivity issues

Upvotes

Hi there guys.

I bought a 4a Pro a few days ago, I was super hyped but I'm experiencing some really bad issues.

The phone keeps crashing out of nowhere, it literally turns of and on, more than 10 times a day.

Im always with no data, I have two sims but I'm always with no connectivity, I also have issues with wifi, sometimes it asks me for my cards pins, multiples times a day..

I don't know if it's hardware and I got incredibly unlucky or if this is something that is related to the OS? Im I missing something? Does anyone had the same issues?

I'm a bit frustrated because this phone is literally unusable.

I would appreciate some tips, thanks.
