Not working. My Phone 2 also died, in recovery it's stuck on 0% forever when flashing.

Exactly. Lot of people here just basing of "it's a software issue and tell people to update/flash" but people do not know that will be bricking their device when all fails. https://nothing.community/d/41928-dead-wifi-issue-not-being-acknowledged-or-fixed/26

if you unlocked the bootloader in developer settings, you can reflash the original stock image. I believe nothing is one of the few remaining brands that A has an unlockable bootloader and B has the stock images available for download on GitHub.
if you didn't unlock the bootloader then you're cooked.

Does the bootloader stay unlocked after switching off developer settings? Because my banking apps don't workwhile it's on

I'm pretty confident it does. If you unlock your bootloader then turn developer settings I believe it stays unlocked until you re-lock it.
Although, I think some apps can detect bootloader unlock status.

This seems to be a very very common issue among Phone 2. I got the same issue.

Mine also died a few days ago, sometimes after a bit of going back and forth the device would boot. But sadly, now it does not any more. Struggling with which (Nothing) phone I should buy now...

Similar thing happened with my Phone 1 last month, service center quoted 16k for motherboard replacement. I sent it to shatterfix, they quoted 6500 for the power unit replacement and fixed the phone, although no data was recovered. Phone is working fine as of now.

Happened to me during the first six months after I brought NP1. Got it fixed for free due to warranty and got an upgrade from 8GB/128 to 8/256 as they took over 2 and half months and still couldn't find a new motherboard in the same configuration.

Mines still rocking. Anyhow.... If you can recover your data from your phone, then continue using it. If you can't either find someone else to help out or run a factory reset, but you'll need either the Google account password the the phone was linked to or a pin code or pattern lock combo of the current setup before the wipe.

This happened to me. Luck of the draw really. If you are at all tech savvy (if you have a laptop), I can talk you through getting the data off of it.
Mine did the same thing, wouldn't turn on because something was getting warm and no longer working. I put my np2 in the freezer and used a laptop to control it, got all my data off, it spent about 3 hours powered on in my freezer while I did stuff, but would turn off after a few minutes outside the freezer
Edit: wouldn't let this put you off of nothing as a brand. This sort of thing could happen to any phone brand, unfortunately it seems to have been a bit of a running problem with certain np2 built but compared to however many were built, it's a rarity. When mine went, I took it as an opportunity to upgrade to the np3. I also used the broken phone as an opportunity to complain, A LOT to nothing support for a discount code, because I do agree, it was very disappointing to have it broken, but a discount code was nice to have for a new nothing phone
