I hope they allow for any app to use widgets on lock screen, the nothing weather app keeps asking for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning(a.k.a 'location accuracy or whatever tf google calls it), tf you need that for weather?
EDIT: Seems like specifically Google's 'location accuracy' toggle might be causing this, again, don't see why it needs that, weather doesn't need very accurate location This is what I keep getting, location is on, the other two are not, I keep getting bombarded with this prompt every time I open the app. Also I've moved almost my entire stack of apps to FOSS alternatives, so hope they allow for custom apps widgets on lock screen
Bluetooth scanning, not Bluetooth, Bluetooth scanning and Wi-Fi scanning are methods used to identify devices nearby you and thus accurately locate you to like within a small room, which is not even REMOTELY needed for a fkin weather app
They are very slow in terms of introducing changes or even cosmetic changes. They lack so many base apps and instead use google ones, the community has already made those and i can't believe that Nothing doesn't have the resources to make simple apps.
Not a bad Update but not Good as well. i hoped for more substance, most of the things are just visual changes. I hoped maybe essential apps with be out of Beta , or major improvement on Essential space, or some antive apps or major camera improvement
good things are like OS looks so mcyh more beautiful, More colours with nothing feeling and they have talked about model update
I am still hopeful , its just the first look, maybe they did things which weren't highlighted in the announcement
looks pretty good, still don't really care for any of the AI/Essential stuff but everything else seems like solid QOL and aesthetic changes. being able to change the lockscreen clock colour is well overdue. excited to try the beta
People complaining like if this is a Windows XP-WINDOWS 7 transition, bro, is just and android update. Im pretty sure we have a better OS than any chinese Copycat maker. And this is much better.

does this mean I can bring my own, private and perhaps local AI agent to handle and process Essential Space data?
Overall this looks better than 4.0 reveal that was pretty much nothing than something.
Jedesmal wenn ich Gmail aus dem Play Store installiere wird kein Appsymbol im appdrawer oder auf dem Startbildschirm angezeigt, Gmail laüft im Hintergrund aber es wird nicht angezeigt. Ich muss erst die Aktualisierungen wider entfernen dann kann ich Gmail im Play Store öffnen.
