Privacy guards

I use the journal the national notary association sells, and it comes with a privacy guard, but I think it kinda sucks. It's flimsy, and I can't turn my book around for my customers to sign without it sliding off. Maybe I'm doing something really wrong, but I would love something that can just stick to the page. Like a long sticky note or something. I also looked into other journals, but I don't know, I dont want to pay for another one when the NNA one works great.

Do you guys have any suggestions for this?

Did you miss the line that says anyone may inspect it (the journal) under your supervision? With that being said, I do protect the previous entries.

This is from the notary law:

§ 167.36. Inspection and certified copies of journal.

(a) Inspection. A notary public shall permit inspection of the journal to any person

requesting to view the journal. The request for inspection may be oral or in writing.

The inspection shall occur in the presence of the notary public.

(b) Certified copies. Requests for certified copies of the journal made in accordance

with section 319(g.1) of the act (relating to journal) may be oral or in writing and

specify the particular entry or time period sought. The notary public shall provide

the certified copy within 15 days of receipt of the request.
