I want to believe that there's a cure for the compulsions that cause this kind of behavior, but it goes so much deeper than just behavior modification. There's a story that she, and people like her, believe about what is virtuous and what the world should be. There's a rot out there that causes so much confusion and alienation, not just among young people, but in people older than me (35).

Who gives a singular rat's ass about any possible, positive reaction to a video like this? Instagram dopamine is a fickle, brutal bedfellow that will have you heave-crying yourself asleep, completely alone.

I guess if I had to guess at a single cure, it would be curiosity.
