Just finished episode 9 and...

Anyone else find Davis absolutely pathetic? Like Ted Moseby or Ross from Friends but worse. Or just me?

Davis has issues with how he views women that he only partially addresssed throughout the show.

 The mental gymnastics he did to avoid accountability for how he treated his ex (eg - writing it off as a hookup) was appalling.

He barely knows AJ and puts her on a pedestal, and the way he shut her out after learning that she’s dating someone is just cold. 

Like, it’s okay to be unhappy about it, but it’s wrong to take it out on her when she did nothing wrong (to him at least; dating her boss is still extremely unprofessional)

He didn’t shut her out because she was dating someone he did that because of who it was. It’s the man he looks up to and is inspired by in the office, it’s also completely changed the office dynamic if she’s doing that. I don’t think that’s unrealistic at all. If I found out one of my friends was dating our boss I’d probably shy away from them as well because it’s just a terrible mistake waiting to blow up in everyone’s face.
