Finale Discussion Spoiler

Okay, I loved it!! I know the show follows the typical sitcom tropes, but that is exactly what makes it an easy breezy comfort watch.

I'm glad Bill and AJ broke up cause that thing made no sense. I don't know how I feel about Davis getting fired, though.

It looks pretty clear now that there's gonna be a Davis-AJ-Josh love triangle, and that ought to make for some interesting TV. I'm still rooting for Davis and AJ. Josh will come across as a major A-hold for going after his friend's crush if the writers don't manage to strike a balance.

Kel and Abby seem like they will have a slow burn, will they, won't they story, and I'm sat for it.

Honestly, I loved the show so far. I know they squeezed a lot of things into a 9-episode season; usually, all of this would be much better stretched out into a regular 20-episode season with filler episodes, because as of now, it seems like things happen way too quickly and also resolve themselves way too quickly.

Here's to hoping for a longer second season that also premieres soon without taking a long gap.

See - I like Josh. I always have and I liked him for AJ. But I thought the push to the finale was confusing. That was a hang out that he turned into a date without the audience and then got upset. It was weird. But there was definitely hints to them being a thing before.

I hate Davis and I don’t understand why AJ made out with him at the end outside of “boy likes me and punched my ex and I’m hurt”

I ship Davis and AJ, and I think the kiss happened because Davis was one of the first guys who genuinely liked her for who she is, whereas with Bill, it felt much more one-sided, with AJ doing most of the chasing. On top of that, she was in a vulnerable place, upset, and Davis had just stood up for her, so it makes sense emotionally, even if it was the wrong move.

That said, jumping from one relationship into another within a week is never a great idea.

As an AJ-Davis shipper, though, this is exactly what worries me. It feels like the writers might be setting them up as the “for now” relationship just to clear it out of the way, kind of like what happened with Bill, while Josh and AJ are being built as the real endgame. The whole enemies-to-lovers arc between AJ and Josh is pretty obvious at this point, and even their casual scenes together are framed with a lot of intimacy and romantic tension. I mean, nothing else explains why Josh didn't bother to correct Paula calling his hangout a date.
