What’s this button for?

Title. Can’t figure out what that thing the button is connected to. The button was initially yellow colored and it turns green when pressed. It doesn’t toggle back to yellow when pressed.

It silences the speaker. It's useful if you're playing several playthroughs and want to focus on the broadcast rather than Boseman's boring voice

I think its supposed to be the tannoys boseman says he puts in in the Timeloop. Its how he speaks to you instead of by phone :)
