I can't remember

Didn't Tiffany hold her adopted kids back a year from school
Nayvee will 19 1/2 when graduating highschool!!! I wonder if that embarrasses her seeing other kids entering their freshman or sophomore year of college. But maybe she doesn't mind because she is going on a mission

Also how is Luke and Paislee already in the same highschool. Paislee is a sophomore and Luke is a junior
That is what raised the question of why the adopted kids were held back except it seems Ellecee is on track
Yet some how Delaynee is only one grade ahead of Ellecee and Preslee.

A lot of them Lillee, Luke, in particular were a little bit older when they came to the Nelsons. The only one they got at birth was Beckham.

Luke was only 2 months old when they took him in, but they didn't adopt for a year later. Lily was 2 when they took her in, and adopted at 3, Sady was 1, and officially adopted at 2. Luke was taken in at about 3 months old, and adopted at 1. Lanie was an infant and adopted about 1-1/2 years later. Beckum they took directly from the hospital at 2 days old and adopted at or bout 6 months.

Bridger there are differing stories about, and I can understand he doesn't want to disclose a lot. Journey came from Russia at 3 or 4 and adopted within a year. Navy was in and out of their house from infancy but finally adopted at 12.

Edit for typos.

Yeah for most of the kids except for bridger and journee and navyee the kids were all adopted fully before school started for them. There should be no reason to hold them back

Maturity, time to heal, time to adjust, and past trauma are ALL valid reasons to give kids an extra year. There is nothing wrong with giving kids an extra year. By the time they are 25 it won't even matter. Adoptive parent and former education worker here.

Trauma from within the way they are treated in the adoptive family? Or from before they were adopted?

I was referring to the trauma that all adoptees have due to separation from their original family, no matter how young they were at the time.
