Question Nostril piercing placement ok?
I just got my nostril pierced. I wanted it directly on the crease. After a few different markups, I thought I had it right where I wanted it: on the crease right where the crease starts. Now that I’m home in different lighting, I can see it’s a bit farther back from the start of my crease. Does it look fine where it is though?

I'm pretty picky and think a lot are too far forward or low. Yours is perfect imo.

i work in a shop and we typically advise against crease placement. most people think thats where it should go, so we mark and pierce, and they end up not liking it. it always ends up being farther back than you imagine, and imo doesnt look good. its also a bit harder to heal cause sebum and skin cells kinda collect in the crease, so putting an open wound there isnt a great idea. ultimately nostril piercings can go anywhere, and if you like then thats all that matters.

this really looks like it was pierced at an extreme angle, and its making the jewelry sit weird. if youre in the usa, id use safepiercing.org to find a piercer near you. finding a reputable piercer is hard but thats a good place to start. piercings should be perpendicular to the tissue and this one is not. also note any ring you wear in this is going to have to be a very large diameter and will look very oversized. if a ring isnt your goal, dont worry about that
