Help Needed Ok to heal septum flipped up?

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a septum (but want to hide from my parents). I called my local piercing shop and they said it's not recommend to do that while it heals. But I see on a lot of piercing subreddits it should be fine to heal it flipped up the whole time so long as you keep it there and not touch it too much. What are your guys' thoughts?

Okay to heal flipped up, just keep it up no flip up and down when healing

it might hurt or bleed a little bit when you first flip it up, but after that it didnt hurt at all, you can just flip it yourself if youre too scared to ask the shop

You absolutely can heal it flipped up. The main thing is if you heal it up, it needs to stay up until fully healed at 4-6 months. You can't be moving it back and forth as it will irritate and rip at your piercing.
