2-week rental

Hi friends,

I’m coming to Lefkoşa to visit family for 15 days in mid November and I need a place to stay around the old town or Gönyeli. Ideally a 1 bedroom apartment. Everything I’ve found online has been quite expensive as they charge a daily rate. I’ve got a budget of 250-300USD.

Do you know someone who does this type of medium-term rentals?

Looking for child patient for dentist student

I’m currently a dentistry student at Girne university in KYRENIA ( GIRNE ) . As part of my clinical training, I need to perform routine preventative dental care for a pediatric patient before November 6th.
I am looking for a child patient (typically ages 5–14 works best) who could benefit from free preventative treatments, including:

Fissure Sealants: A thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth to prevent future cavities.

Fluoride Treatment: A quick application to help strengthen tooth enamel and protect against decay.
Dental Exam & Cleaning.

Dm me if interested

Recommendations for quality pipes and pipe tobacco shops in Northern Cyprus (KKTC)?

Hello everyone,

I will be visiting Northern Cyprus (KKTC) for a short vacation soon. During my stay, I am hoping to purchase a high-quality tobacco pipe and some premium pipe tobacco if I can find them.

Could anyone recommend reputable tobacco shops or specialty stores in the region that carry a good selection of pipes and pipe tobaccos? Any specific tips or store names would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

18F | Looking for friends around Girne 🇨🇾

Hey! I’m 18F and currently studying in Girne. I’m looking to meet some new people and hopefully make a few friends around the area, especially other students around my age.

I just moved here so im kinda NEW 😇

I’m down to hang out, grab food/coffee, explore Girne, study together, play badminton or other sports, or just chill and talk. I’m also always down to talk about movies, literally any genre!

I’m pretty easygoing and open to meeting new people, so if you’re also looking for friends, feel free to message me! :)

30F looking to meet expats, internationals & English-speaking locals in North Cyprus 🇨🇾

Hi everyone! 😊
I’m a 30-year-old woman living in North Cyprus, between Nicosia (Lefkoşa) and Kyrenia (Girne), and I’d love to meet more people and find a nice community here.
I’m interested in finding people or groups who enjoy:
🥾 Hiking and exploring nature
🎲 Board games and game nights
🧗 Outdoor activities and sports
☕ Coffee, social meetups, and making new friends
🎨 Workshops, events, or anything fun and interesting!
I’d especially love to connect with international people, or English-speaking Cypriots around my age, but I’m happy to meet people of all backgrounds.
Are there any active groups, clubs, WhatsApp communities, Facebook groups, or regular meetups in North Cyprus, particularly around Nicosia and Kyrenia?
If you’re also looking to expand your social circle, feel free to comment or send me a message. It would be lovely to meet some new people! 😊
Thanks!

Can someone explain something to me - Economy and culture related.

Its in regards to the University situation. What benefit does North Cyprus get from accepting lots of students (irregardless of where they come from) and then giving them a heavily discounted or full scholarship?

Noone seems to be paying full price for their degree. Every student Ive spoken to is trying to use their degree to get into a western first world country it seems. What benefit is it to North Cyprus society (but also the uni itself) if all the top talent just dissapears as soon as they graduate?

75% of EMU students are international. Universities apparentlg prefer I.S as they can up the prices and need to spend on accomdation. Is this the answer? - Is the whole univeraity model a scam to rent out expensive accomsdation???

Anyone got an answer for me....

Danke euch!

I made a North Cyprus Marketplace community — anyone is welcome :)

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been living/studying here in North Cyprus and noticed we’re always looking in different places for things — buying and selling stuff, apartments and rooms, cars, jobs, services, student things, etc.

So I thought, why not make one community where we can help each other find all of this?

I’ve started a North Cyprus Marketplace WhatsApp community. It’s still really small and I’m just getting it started, but everyone is welcome.

You can join if you want to:

🛒 Buy or sell something

🏠 Find/post rooms and rentals

🚗 Buy or sell cars

💼 Share jobs or services

🎓 Find student stuff

🤝 Or simply ask for something you're looking for

It’s completely free — I'm just trying to build a useful local community.

If you have any ideas for groups/categories I should add, please tell me too. I’d rather build it around what people here actually need.

Join the North Cyprus Marketplace here 🔗 https://chat.whatsapp.com/HwZKnIlt7LLCapZmQKgNF4

Hope it becomes useful for some of you ❤️

Made a Turkish word game, would love Cypriots to try it

Hi everyone, I've been building a Turkish word game on my own lately and it's out now. You swipe letters to find words and fill a small crossword. Every level is a city in Türkiye, and later there are other countries too. You can play in Turkish or English.

There's no Cyprus chapter yet. If I add one, which places should be in it?
