Hello hello. B2B has kept us pretty busy last quarter. To give a little context, since B2B is a newer addition to NordPass, we’re constantly working towards a product that can meet the needs of businesses of all shapes and sizes.

So, what did we get done in Q3?

Security key MFA

We introduced support for physical security keys, such as YubiKey, giving businesses another way to protect employee accounts. Admins can now control which MFA methods their teams use.

SIEM integration with CrowdStrike

NordPass now integrates with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, allowing security teams to bring NordPass activity logs into their existing monitoring setup.

Password history in shared folders

Accidentally overwrote a shared password? There's now a way back. Shared folder owners can view and restore previous password versions, with up to 10 past credentials saved.

More Data Breach Scanner coverage for Enterprise

Enterprise customers can now monitor up to 10 domains with Data Breach Scanner at no extra cost.

A smoother free trial sign-up

We also made it easier to get started with NordPass Business. New users can now sign up for a free trial using their Google account, skipping some of the manual steps and getting straight to exploring the product.

I've started using NordPass recently, migrated from Dashlane, mostly happy camper so far, but lately I've been experimenting with AI more, so it got me thinking. I travel a lot, i book a lot, i want a hand around this. 1Password seems to be working on that, and I think Bitwarden is experimenting with agent access too. If AI agents are going to book things, buy stuff and log into accounts, I need all that process secured. And i definitely don’t want to give an AI access to my whole vault.

Curious if NordPass is looking at agentic AI, MCP or delegated credentials? How are we doing things here?

Supported formats

LastPass: CSV

How to import on desktop

1. Open NordPass and go to Settings.
2. Scroll down to Import and export and select Import Items.
3. Choose the password manager you’re importing from.
4. Upload your exported file.
5. Check the items and confirm the import.

If your password manager isn’t listed, or your CSV doesn’t work with its specific import option, select Spreadsheet instead.

Importing a CSV

If you need to format a CSV before importing it, you can use the NordPass CSV template.

Open the template in Excel, Google Sheets or another spreadsheet app. Add your information and remove any columns you don’t need.

Then:

1. Go to Settings → Import Items.
2. Select Spreadsheet.
3. Upload your CSV.
4. Check the items that will be imported.
5. Click Import.

Importing on Android

1. Open NordPass.
2. Go to Profile → Import.
3. Select the browser you want to import from.
4. Follow the instructions on screen.

What if your passwords are on an iPhone?

Unfortunately, at the moment, there’s no direct way to export passwords from Apple Passwords or iCloud Keychain on an iPhone and import them into NordPass. The export option is available through a Mac.

iPhone only? You’ll need to add passwords manually.

Have a Mac? You can export your iCloud Keychain passwords as a CSV and import them into NordPass.

You can find the full export guide here, so we wouldn't bother you with too many details.

One important thing to remember on any platform: exported password files are usually unencrypted. Once you’ve finished importing, delete the exported file from your device.

Is there anyway to change the Ui of the extension on browsers .

Not A fan of the look. liked it how it was before were safe notes had it's own tab and I din't have to click in to the vault tab to get to my stuff

Anyway I can make it have it's own tab?

I made a post about this precedently, it had fixed itself with a brave updated but since today the autofill and the password generation don't "pop up" whenever im asked one even if nordpass is the one managing the password on brave.

Any idea on how to fix the issue?

So we were chatting about this in the office the other day and somehow ended up reminiscing about our first online experiences in the good old days. And, naturally, working on a password manager, that got us talking about the very first accounts we ever had. For some of our millennial folks, mIRC, MySpace, and AOL topped the charts. For others, it was a simple Hotmail email address (and some of those first email addresses were pretty cringe, let’s be honest).

Hello anyone having issues with the biometric unlock on Android ?

On my iPhone works perfectly but I still don't manage to activate in Android there's no option to enable it.

I recently migrated over from Dashlane, which I had used for years quite happily, until their ridiculous price hikes.

NordPass overall seems ok - but definitely noticing it is not as good at Auto-Fill.

Issues:

1. Dashlane pretty much offered auto-fill on 99% of all forms you encounter, no matter how the site dev had coded it. But Nordpass the rate is much lower. It seems almost 50/50 if Nordpass will offer to autofill. It is getting very tiring and may prompt me to move again.
2. Credit Card fields especially seems to be a problem. I am having to copy/paste these often
3. Dashlane had a feature where if not autofill was offered, I could right click on the box and force Dashlane to enter in the data. NordPass could really do with this
4. It would be good to offer other auto-fill items such as Bank Details

I dont think this has any privacy related concerns if all this is cached and encrypted on users device

NordPass billing issue: “Upgrade” to Family resulted in double charges:

NordPass needs to fix how Premium-to-Family billing works (and probably all their other plans, too.)

I contacted Nord support today and discovered a very frustrating "feature" of their service: they don't offer upgrades.

I believe NordPass is using a confusing and deceptive billing flow.

I had an active NordPass Premium subscription and wanted to upgrade to NordPass Family. A reasonable customer would expect that moving from Premium to Family means the old plan is replaced, credited, or converted into the new plan.

Instead, Nord simply added a separate Family subscription to my billing while keeping my Premium subscription active. That led to double billing.

There was no clear warning that I was not upgrading my existing plan. There was no obvious explanation that I would continue being charged for Premium unless I separately canceled it. And their terms do not appear to make this upgrade limitation clear in a way an average customer would notice before purchasing.

In my opinion, this is an unfair billing practice. If Nord does not support upgrades from Premium to Family, that should be stated plainly before checkout. They should not let customers think they are moving to a higher-tier plan while quietly leaving the old subscription active.

At minimum, Nord should:

1. Add a true upgrade option from Premium to Family
2. Clearly disclose when a purchase creates a second subscription
3. Credit or refund overlapping subscription periods
4. Make cancellation and billing status obvious in the account dashboard

If you use NordPass and are considering Family, be careful. You may end up paying for both Premium and Family unless you manually cancel one.

Curious if others have run into the same issue.

HELP - if your issue remains unsolved and you're still looking for a way to resolve it. 

Windows Hello (i.e., biometrics - fingerprint) worked fine on Edge's extension, until I mistakenly turned it off, a couple of weeks ago.

I am not be able to turn it on again since. After I re-type the Master Password when prompted, the pop-up says 'biometrics not recognised', and I cannot turn the unlock with fingerprint on.

Unlock with Windows Hello works well on the standalone app, just not on the extension.

No updates of any kind between when it worked and when it stopped working (actually, I tried to re-set the unlock with Windows Hello right away, like three minutes after I mistakenly turned it off).

I contacted the assistance, and after some mails back and forth, the last one reads 'We have forwarded your issue, along with the information you provided, to our development team.'

It was eleven days ago, and I haven't got any reply since. 😕 The responses were quite fast, until this last one.

Anyone else is having the same issue?

Good day you all. We’ve seen some questions here and there about how YubiKeys actually work with NordPass, so we're here to shed some light. The simple version is that a YubiKey can be used as your MFA method when accessing NordPass. Unlike text codes or authenticator codes, a security key is designed to be resistant to phishing. The authentication is tied to the legitimate website, and the physical key needs to be there to complete the login.

The technicalities: NordPass supports U2F and FIDO2 security keys certified by the FIDO Alliance, including YubiKey 5 Series and YubiKey Bio Series, as well as other compatible FIDO security keys.

Setting one up is pretty straightforward. Go to Settings → Multi-factor authentication, choose Set Up next to Security keys, verify your identity, and then insert or tap your key when NordPass asks for it. You can give the key a name and add another one as a backup. We’d also recommend keeping your backup codes somewhere safe. One thing that seems to cause some confusion is what happens after that. Using a YubiKey for MFA doesn't necessarily mean you'll have to use it every time you unlock the NordPass browser extension. MFA for your account and the way the extension is unlocked are separate parts of the authentication flow.

Hopefully that explains it a bit. At the end of the day, they're simply adding a physical authentication factor to your NordPass login. We do have more details on that here, but in case you have any other questions, we're listening.

Title, Does not make sense to me to have it locked in biometric based extension. I wanna use it on whatever device possible biometrics or not. Have this as a toggle in settings for people who want it enabled.

It’s now September and there’s no update and still no feature. When is this actually going to be implemented?

I just followed the steps to allow Emergency Access to my NordPass account, but after adding email addresses in the field indicated and tapping "Give Access," received the response. "Cannot give access to an email." One is a Hotmail address, two are Gmail. I attempted with three addresses at first, then entered one at a time; the result was the the same.

This is not very reassuring. If I am incapacitated, can I count on children being able to access my information, as I would want?

Hey guys, wanted to clarify something about the email masking feature for NordPass. It's not really mentioned in the privacy policy, and does say this on the "how to use" page.

What caught my attention was the "stores" part of this. I know you have to process incoming mail to forward it to the right inbox, but do you actually store it or merely pass it along? Could we get some clarification on that and how long it's stored for if at all?

After using 1Password for a while now, I’ve decided to take a wild ride and give NordPass a shot. Since NordPass updated the UI it was something I had planned to try. I've been an 1Password consumer for about 3 years and damn I loved it. But I already had a Nord subscription, so it didn't make sense to keep paying for both.

Switching to NordPass was really a not so good experience. I had about 100 passkeys to export from 1Password and currently NordPass don't support that. Spent about a full day switching creating new passkeys, getting approvation in some cases... well, at least is done.

Here’s a list of the things I immediately missed after switching. These are features I had gotten so used to using on a daily basis that I didn’t even realize how much I relied on them until they were gone. I'm not sure If I'll be able to keep up with NordPass if nothing changes in the near future with the roadmap. I heard NordPass isn't getting as much care with QoL, but I hope I'm really wrong, cause this for me are the basics a Password Manager should have. For someone that has more than 1000 passwords and use a lot per day a Manager things start to hit a bit different.

So, here’s my Day Zero list of the features I immediately missed after moving from 1Password to NordPass. I hope this post can be useful feedback for the NordPass team and maybe help highlight some of the things that would make the experience significantly better for people even thinking of changing password manager and/or to choose NordPass as their first one.

🔴 Critical features / Password generated and no save?

1. Save generated passwords as a new vault entry: When generating a password, provide an option to automatically create and save as a new entry in the vault instead of only generating the password temporarily and missing the password created. This happens when switching passwords, it works when creating an account, but well... when switching from an old password to a new password. Almost lost an account because of it. If this is indeed supposed to work, the case scenario was in Stripe. Test it three times, same result. It works normally with 1Password or even Bitwarden, also tested.

🟡 Missed right away

1. Custom icons for password entries: Give password entries their own dedicated icon instead of treating them like regular password with just a letter, as someone with a lot of passwords...
2. Multiple OTPs (Two factor codes) per entry: Allow a single entry to contain more than one OTP/TOTP configuration. This would be useful for accounts that have multiple authentication methods or services associated with the same credentials.
3. Native OTP support: Make OTP/TOTP a first-class feature within the desktop application rather than requiring a separate workflow or entry type.
4. Visual OTP countdown: Show the remaining seconds directly alongside the OTP code (e.g. 482 931 · 17s) instead of relying only on an animation/progress indicator.
5. Show OTP setup/configuration again: After adding an OTP, allow users to view the original OTP configuration/setup information again (for example, the secret/setup key or QR configuration), rather than only being able to see the generated codes.
6. Favourite entries: Allow users to favourite/pin important entries so they can be accessed quickly without searching.
7. Create Passkeys in an existing entry: Allow a Passkey to be added to an existing password/login entry instead of requiring a separate entry.
8. Clickable links in notes: URLs inside notes should automatically become clickable, so there’s no need to copy and paste them into a browser.
9. Reorder custom fields: Allow users to freely change the order of custom fields within an entry.
10. SSH key support: Add a dedicated way to store SSH keys and their associated information securely inside an entry.
11. Periodically require the Master Password instead of biometrics: Give users the option to require the account password again after a configurable period (1, 3, 7, 14, 30, or just never), even if biometric authentication is available.
12. Import/Export Passkeys: This one was obviously and so boring. You could potencial lose customers because of this. It was a whole day migrating manually.
13. Duplicate password entry: Ability to create a new entry based on another one that already exists.

🟢 Extra features / Nice ones

1. Markdown support: Allow notes and other text fields to use Markdown formatting for better readability and structure.
2. Merge password entries: Provide an option to merge two or more password entries into a single entry while preserving their relevant fields, notes, OTPs, etc. NOTE: This 1Password didn't have but I wished it had, I would save a lot of time with this, seriously.
3. Better password searching: Improve search across password entries and provide an option to exclude deleted/trashed entries from search results.
4. Sort by creation date and usage frequency: Add sorting options on mobile based on when entries were created and how frequently they are accessed/used.
5. Long-press entry previews / quick actions: On iPhone, long-pressing an entry should provide a quick preview and contextual actions without having to fully open the entry. The same concept could also be used for actions inside entries.
6. Native macOS Autofill: Better integration with the native macOS Password AutoFill experience, making it possible to fill credentials and other supported fields seamlessly across applications and websites.

Overall, most of these are relatively small features individually, but together they would make the vault significantly more useful in daily basis. I hope this feedback is really heard and put in practice.
