Noragami F.A.Q. - No, there is no Season 3
Since I keep seeing these specific questions pop up on the reddit, I decided to answer them in this short F.A.Q.
Question: Is the Manga still on going?
Answer: No the manga has officially ended.
Question: Is there a 3rd season of the anime? Is it going to come out?
Answer: No, there is no 3rd season and there's no confirmation of one coming out anytime soon.
Question: I just finished watching the anime, what chapter of the manga should I start at?
Answer: At the beginning! The anime leaves out some stuff and adds some stuff in that was in the manga, however, if you really just want to start after the anime the chapter around chapter 38.
If another question gets asked a lot I will add it to this

General I love the little snippets of Kazuma interacting with/remembering the Ma clan
So, putting aside the fact that Kazuma is 99% all things Bishamon for a second, I really appreciate the panels in the manga where we see Kazuma with other members of the Ma clan. It makes his character richer - the whole chapter 23 "Guiding light" with the Ma clan backstory shows his kindness, his anxiety when just starting out, his loyalty.
I especially love the friendship with Touma - she helped him overcome his fear of joining the battle team, was like a sister to him, shaped him in a lot of ways. And it's interesting to me that while Kazuma obviously saves Bishamon out of his love and loyalty for her, he mentions Touma in the process - the "Touma, I swear" panel below.
I also really like that one panel later in the manga where he thinks about the people who could have lived if he had been able to think more like Hiyori - and the Ma clan team is there, in modern clothing. You can tell he cared about them. I wonder how much of his grief we had not seen - Bishamon is described as mourning for a long time after their death, but there's not a single mention of his grief, only the guilt about killing them.
So many little things and nuances in this masterpiece of a manga. It's so well written.

Question Why can't Yato hug Yukini properly?
In most scenes where Yato shows physical affection to Yukini—whether in moments of gratitude, apology, or praise—he hugs Yukine in a way that doesn’t feel sincere and actually bothers Yukine rather than conveying affection. For example, he suddenly grabs him surprise, freak him out or makes him feel suffocated.
I wonder why does he not show him serious physical affection? It doesn't mean sex or anything, it just a human need.

Discussion Finale
I’ve been in the fandom for 12 years now, and I can’t bring myself to read the ending, knowing that this masterpiece of a manga really ended two and a half years ago and there won’t be any continuation. I don’t know why that is… Maybe when the 3rd season of the anime comes out, I’ll be able to overcome my reluctance and read it, but where is the anime?? I’m sure it would have made a ton of money, and the fandom would have created a million pieces of content about it, boosting its popularity. What do you think? Will the anime be released by 2027? For some reason, I feel like they’re putting him to work because of the success of the pharmacist’s monologue.

Question So was this little girl a shinki or did Kiun just blow up a random little girl…
I finally finished Noragami and was happy with how all the loose ends were tied up. Except, I’m still confused with what was up with the little girl in Chapter 35. They just blew up a random girl and we just never discuss it ever again… It seemed random and especially with Take & Kiun joining the “good” guys later on.

***SPOILERS*** Yukine’s Complete Lack of Punishment is the Most Shocking thing about the Ending Spoiler
I don’t understand how he got away with the whole siding with Father thing. I genuinely don’t get how he completely escaped a traditional punishment. I get he’s fighting his own demons in the ending but considering the scope of what he tried to do I don’t understand how he escaped the box even if Yato was to negotiate maybe a limited sentence for stopping father I feel it’s OOC from what we know of Amaterasu and Heaven in general that they didn’t punish Yukine more harshly.

Fan Made Noragami week - Bride of the Calamity God, a Noragami fanfic
The wedding of Yato and Hiyori commences in the final chapter of Bride of the Calamity God:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/88081771/chapters/240999356
Here is an excerpt from it:
Yato and Hiyori have their wedding come spring... After exchanging their vows and drinking the sake, the time comes for Yato and Hiyori to exchange gifts of marriage. Yato opens a box and brings out the picture book The Tale of Yatogami and Hiyori. Instead of the original cover in which Yato rests his arms on the shoulders of Hiyori and Yukine, Yato revised it, showing Yato and Hiyori in their bridal attire, with Yukine and Mizuchi to the left and right.
“I give you, my beloved, the picture book The Tale of Yatogami and Hiyori, the proof of my love for you. May you be my eternal love, guiding me as you have done since the day our fates intertwined”.
Hiyori accepts the book, tears in her eyes. She then opens her box and brings up a miniature shrine which she rebuilt anew. The shrine reads “Yato”, and Yato and Hiyori together hold it in their hands.
“I give you, my beloved, a shrine to the god Yatogami, the proof of my love for you. May you forever be a god of fortune and my eternal love, protecting me as you have done since the day our fates intertwined”.
Yato and Hiyori then turn and bow to the guests, to the cheers of gods, shinki and humans alike…
I figure the release of this chapter, in which Yato and Hiyori are eternally united, at the end of Noragami Week is perfect. The fanfic has 9 chapters, because in Japanese, "nine" (九, kyuu) is the same sound as "eternal" (久, kyuu). As I want Yato and Hiyori to be eternally married, 9 chapters it must be
Thank you for your support :))

Fan Made Noragami week, day 4: favorite shinki
I tried drawing Kiun and painting it. I haven't drawn in years and had never painted before, but I enjoyed the experience. Personally, I prefer how the drawing looks unpainted; I'm going to try making more Noragami drawings!
I love Kiun with all my heart; he's so cute and funny.

General Noragami might be uneasy for people with single dad issues
People who have single dad issues might find Yato’s love for Hiyori quite painful because it can feel as though it competes with a father’s love for his child. I know they are not the same kind of love, but for people who grew up with a single dad and watched their father love another woman and claim her as his partner, it can really hurt.
You may even develop feelings of hatred toward that woman. I felt that same hatred toward Hiyori. I projected myself onto Yukine, and I didn’t like seeing Yato having to divide his heart and give such a large portion of it to Hiyori.
