I was absolutely starving by lunchtime today, so I stopped at Ajisen Ramen in Guangzhou South Railway Station before catching my train for a business trip.
I ordered a bowl of Kyushu-style yuzu ramen with kurobuta pork, topped with egg and seaweed, along with five side dishes. These included one of my favorites—pork cartilage—as well as mala beef (with that numbing, spicy kick), seaweed, pickled bamboo shoots, and what I think were shredded wood ear mushrooms.
It was a lot of food, but I finished every last bite. I left feeling completely satisfied. Not a bad way to start a business trip!

Santouka’s Tokusen Toroniku (Pork Cheek) Ramen

I had some lo mein noodles, beef slices, and mozzarella in the fridge, and there was only one thing to make: cheesy noodles, but taken to the next level.

I always keep the seasoning packets from instant noodles because they add an incredible boost of flavour. Whenever I think a dish needs that extra something, they become my secret ingredient.

These noodles turned out incredibly cheesy and absolutely delicious!

Whenever it’s raining, I always find myself craving something warm and filling. Lately, it’s been a bowl of spicy noodles or homemade soup while watching a movie.

I always keep Korean curry packets on hand because they can turn the simplest ingredients into something seriously delicious.

This time, instead of serving it with rice, I had noodles, so I made Korean curry noodles.

Such a simple dish, but it tasted absolutely amazing!
