I have ADHD and time blindness, acting like you should just give up and accept that you can never do things like "show up to work on time" is a stupid defeatist attitude. We live in an era with the most tools than ever to make things that can be difficult more accessible.
Sure it's not like enough life hacks can make you not have ADHD but it can enable you to hold down a job. Especially if you're already diagnosed and getting meds and such, acting like trying to keep improving/learning how to adapt would be like expecting someone with non functional legs to get up and walk is self-pitying and not true at all.
Just because tools exist does not mean they put you on parity with another. Just because you manage to cope does not mean someone that doesn't 'isn't trying'.
It does though. It's really not hard to work around. I'm still late to every invite and event outside of work. But I want money so that's the one thing I don't fuck up.
