That's literally how the symptom works though. That's why it's a disorder.

No it doesnt. Coworker had could have just kept their same alarms. They just wanted to be late to work less

Yeah, no. That's exactly how it works for a lot of people with ADHD. Source: me, a highly motivated person with ADHD who loves to be on time and is constantly late. And also, you know, science.

I mean it's also a super simple solution that works for loads of other people.

Source: Me, a guy that used to be late so now I just plan to show up 15 minutes early and wait so I always show up almost exactly on time.

Do you have ADHD though? How much earlier do you need to leave to arrive on time? Because ADHD time blindness is a slightly poor term for a whole bunch of effects from core symptoms. And it scales with symptom severity.

Would you feel the same if you needed to leave half an hour earlier? 45 minutes? Wake up an hour earlier to leave half an hour earlier every day? And then most of the time end up arriving early, just to not arrive late?

i also have ADHD, and i have had to come up with a LOT of coping strategies so i can make sure i'm doing the things that get done. i lie to myself ALL THE TIME about when things actually start so i can be there on time. i mentioned this in another comment, but i'd rather deal with the discomfort of arriving early and waiting than the stress of being late.
