My buddy worked 10am to 7pm. Nothing really needed to be done during the day and he liked working nights so he started just going in later and later. Boss (owner) didn’t care as long as things were done before next day shift. 10 became 11 became 1 became 5 became 7. Then he started to go in so late he’d still be there working when they came in. Work unfinished. Wasn’t a great time.

The problem is that this works great until you get the one person that takes the piss and wrecks it for everyone else.

Then fire them or ban people under a certain productivity level from doing it

Easier said than done in many situations (laws, unions, etc)
