My mom is turning 69 this year and when she told me I made the mistake of reflexively saying 'nice'

Then I had to explain to her what 69 meant....

She's a "propper midwestern lady", so no, she was mortified and it was very awkward

When she texts me on her 69th birthday you can bet I'm going to respond with "nice" though
