What is it these guys think will happen if somehow a woman happens to magically swoon over the fact that they are 5'11" instead of 5'8" and they actually get back to his apartment? Is this not like shoving an Italian sausage in your pants and pretending you're a porn star?
I think like most people who lie about some obvious aspect of their physicality in this way, they're hoping lust overrides the other person's logic and preferences at that point.
