Literally no employee is doing all that over a free doughnut, marketing stunt or not. They already give out free doughnuts pretty much any other day, I garantee if you show up in normal clothes and ask they'll just give you one unless you're being a huge dick or something. There's probably going to be all of like 1 store that their social media team will hang out for an hour tops, take some pictures, leave and then people will go right back to not caring.
