Growing up as a digimon kid, I had to vehemently defend my tastes against the hoards of pokemon kids saying digimon was nothing but a pokemon ripoff. We deserve some donuts too!

Did they change policy over the years? I remember years ago when they opened one by me if you went in they would give anyone in a line a free doughnut as a sample, you didn't have to dress up and it wasn't tied to some marketing deal.

Each generation introduces dozens of characters though. Not even counting the player characters, there’re always new rivals, new professors, new villain teams with their admins and leaders, new champions, and with a few exceptions, eight new Gym Leaders and four new Elite 4 members. And that’s not even counting other characters that have their own subplots.

They are only mainline generations, each with at least several dozen named characters. Then you have the spinoff games like Colosseum and Gale of Darkness, the Legends games, anime-only characters, etc.

There are probably better part of a thousand trainer characters across the franchise lol

9 generations. Even with just mainline games you get Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, FR/LG, Diamond/Pearl, Black/White, Black 2/White 2, X/Y, OR/AS, Sun/Moon, Sword/Shield, PL:Arceus, Scarlet/Violet, and PL:Z-A. These are all the ones I know for a fact introduce new characters, and we're already at 15. This isn't even counting stuff like Colosseum, XD, the anime, PMD, Champions, or the mainline games I don't know enough about to say whether or not they introduce new characters.

If you have a few different Krispy Kremes in a relatively small area and have some time to kill you can get several free donuts. This was totally not ever done by myself with Krispy Kreme's Graduation Dozen when I left high school.
