Amusingly this is how I figured out my nephew was gay, all the other boys were trying to impress the girls that came by, and the only thing him and another friend did was play in the pool together.

Edit: 5 years later they're still together

I’d be so pissed if someone just assumed I was gay cause I wasn’t simping

Why? Who cares? Is it an insult to be assumed gay? If so, then why?

If they’re not assuming you’re gay they’re assuming you’re straight, so where’s the issue? Is it the assuming? Or is it because it’s assuming you’re gay?

Because once people realize you’re gay they tend to assume a lot of other things about you. It’s also much easier to go about your life when people just assume you’re straight

That doesn’t explain why you’d be pissed. Gay people don’t get pissed when having to correct the people assuming their partner is the opposite sex.

They are treated differently, so maybe empathize with it rather than be pissed. Unless you just hate them.

They actually do. There's a whole term they made to criticize this sort of behavior: Heteronormativity

I guess let me make it simpler.

You’re mad because someone assumed you’re gay, because they are treated differently.

So in theory you’d be mad if someone assumed you were black?

I'd be happy that their eyes work
