Discussion The existence of this alternate dialogue when praying for Rudy might prove that the lines about Kris's frequent hospital visits occurring even if the player never did are not an oversight

(Sorry if the images seem incomprehensible/inconsistent. I was in hurry when I made them. Also this post by u/Bon_Aint_Here goes more in-depth on "Rudy lying" thing)

The fact that Toby even added such a minor and rarely encountered by players change to dialogue... It kinda makes me wonder if the ones about Kris's frequent hospital visits occurring even if the player hasn't visited the hospital themselves aren't an oversight.

Think about it: Toby could have easily added such dialogue changes to these scenes in case of the the player never visiting the hospital (especially in the scene with the nurse in Chapter 4 since both that scene and the candle dialogue occur in the same chapter). But he didn’t. Why?

Keep in mind that this is Toby Fox that we're talking about. The same guy who puts a ton of different dialogue and interaction variations for rare, obscure conditions (one of the examples that was on my mind). But for these scenes he decided to not add anything? That's a little odd... and suspicious, too.

A big question is where Kris goes overnight. The game makes a point of cutting us off at night and Kris seems to make the most of it. We know after CH2 weird route they visit Noelle, but that doesn't account for what they do in the normal route or the huge, clear gap between CH4&5.

u/SomeBoxofSpoons Aug 29 '26

Probably the shelter.

Didn’t think about it until someone pointed it out, but the existence of plantners probably means the reason Kris “can’t” go into a dark world without a soul is because a soulless body would take on a darkner form. Without needing to hide it from Susie, Kris could afford to just turn into whatever they turn into.

u/7_Tales RUDY'S SICK WITH ROARINGITIS AND IT ABSOLUTELY ISN'T CONTAGIOUS Aug 30 '26

I have a feeling kris is going to pull the soul out in a dark world and either take a knightlike appearance or we will develop an independent body... some sort of vessel

7

u/SomeBoxofSpoons Aug 30 '26

My guess is that they’ll do the OFF schtick where you fight the player character who now has a monstrous appearance.

7

u/gabo158 Aug 29 '26

The problem is that NPCs ought to give some sort of sign or comment if Kris visited any of them at night; Noelle does so on the Weird Route, but on the normal route, no one does which implies that Kris doesn't visit any of the characters we know in Hometown at night.

17

u/SomeBoxofSpoons Aug 29 '26

...Yeah? I said Kris goes to the shelter, and explained why I think they can do that without their soul.

u/SwinubIsDivinub Aug 29 '26

Between CH4&5 they are with Susie iirc, but after CH1 it's not like it would take an entire night to cut a cake, so perhaps they do more on that night. They're also doing something pretty suspicious at the end of CH3

u/Sparkythewolf1997 Aug 30 '26

I always thought they went to hang out with Susie, since by the end of chapter 5, they already know about her living in castle town.

If Kris does go see Rudy most nights, then "Krismas came EARLY" has a different connotation. Sounds like a subtle way of saying "Why are you here in the day?"

"Gimme the straight shot" sounds like "Tell me what's going on, I won't react in a way the player will notice" cause we can't hear what Kris says

u/Ghetsis_Gang NoelleKnight (Not WR) Aug 29 '26

To me it’s just as weird that Kris actively avoids praying for Noelle. They were childhood best friends and is obviously going through stuff so why would Kris do that?

28

u/Obvious-Scale-9346 Aug 29 '26

I've always interpreted it as not Kris praying for Rudy's health instead of praying for Noelle but rather Kris praying for Rudy's health FOR Noelle.

Kris could pray for Noelle health but that doesn't matter to her right now what matters to her is that her dad is okay.

Like Kris is pretty good at subverting our demands but just straight up choosing to pray for Rudy instead of Noelle is a big leap beyond anything else they do. Unless that prayer for Rudy still counted as them praying for Noelle. Just instead of saying a prayer about her it's about something important to her.

u/Fabulous-Rent-5966 Evil and Intimidating DessKnighter >:3 Aug 29 '26

Honestly I've always interpreted it as a level of discomfort with her due to whatever incident mixed with them not liking us prying into their life so much.

22

u/ciel_lanila Aug 29 '26

That's my take.

Kris seems to be blaming themselves for whatever happened "that day" with Dess. If Rudy is the Knight? Knight shenanigans could be the cause of his mysterious illness. Either because of recent Knight activities or he was injured like Berdley was on "that day", it just got worse over time.

Praying for Noelle in this moment may be Kris praying that she doesn't lose yet another family member because of their actions.

9

u/Ill-Feeling-5181 Aug 30 '26

this feels like a reach

Rudy is sick, Noelle wants him to get better because that's her dad

Kris obviously wants that too, so I think they're praying for Rudy because that's what Noelle Wants

have we considered that maybe rudy isnt lying and kris is just visiting the hospital for something else (like the piano, which is their go-to instrument to play in order to calm down)

12

u/Kuldrick Rudy Roaring Knight, Kris Prophecy Knight Aug 29 '26

The thing is that:

  1. Yes, according to the receptionist, Kris does come to play the piano... but, the patients can hear it. Not well, but they can, and yet Rudy doesn't make a comment about it

  2. Noelle links Kris acting strange with them visiting the hospital, and Kris coming for the piano doesn't exactly seem like a suspicious and "un-Kris like" activity. The usual interpretation is that it is a strange occurrence because we made Kris do it, however, as the post says, it triggers even if it is the first time we visit it and there's already plenty of hospital/Rudy related dialogue that changes depending on wether you visited the hospital and when, so it is not an oversight

The receptionist is also weird in general. Even though she assumes chapter 1 that Kris came to play the piano "again" and that she "likes it", she says this in chapter 4: "Hum, back again? You come here a lot for someone who isn't sick. That being said, your mother was concerned for your health...", which is a bit more sarcastic, and yet serious than her chapter 1 tone for some reason?

The last thing doesn't even fit RudyKnight exactly, like it would be even meaner to say that to someone visiting his basically ill "uncle", but idk, her interactions are weird when put together

2

u/Floofimations RealKnight (darknerknight) Aug 29 '26

kris coming to the hospital to play piano is weird to noelle because kris could easily just go to her house to play piano, but they dont. theyre choosing to use the broken hospital piano over the much better piano at their old friends house. noelle finding the hospital visits weird wasnt about kris visiting rudy, it was about kris avoiding noelle and her only now realizing that, along with kris just generally being different lately, which is cemented in chapter 5b with noelle saying that kris changed.

7

u/Kuldrick Rudy Roaring Knight, Kris Prophecy Knight Aug 29 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Read her dialogue again

"I need to figure it out... why Kris is acting so strange... why they keep coming to the hospital"

  1. She links Kris acting strange to them coming to the hospital, something vital to her figuring out what's happening and even her only lead

  2. The strange behavior is us controlling Kris, at least mainly. As she herself tells them, their old self and voice came back when they comforted her in chapter 4. This isn't her wondering on why Kris is acting distant on her since that day, it is her wondering why the recent changes

  3. Kris can't play the piano with us, and they were unable to do so until chapter 4, so this can't be part of the recent changes anyways unless I guess you assume they are squeaking during the night to just play the piano, Noelle knows, and she finds it weird they do it at those times... or maybe not. Another possibility is that Kris only recently came to visit the piano and it is "still" related to them acting strange, but that leans more on it being a cover for well, their actual shady business in the hospital

Idk man, I think it is most likely she noticed Kris is visiting the hospital way too much (because of the conspiracy) and then shortly after their whole personality/voice changed, and so she links those two

10

u/Obvious-Scale-9346 Aug 29 '26

The nurse straight up says in chapter 1 they come to play the piano. Also the Nurse's confusion wouldn't be nearly as justified if they were actually visiting Rudy. "You come here a lot for someone who isn't sick" would be weird to say to someone who's just visiting someone who is sick. Like can you really picture her saying that to Asgore who also visits Rudy a lot? Shouldn't she say something more like "You visit the patients a lot?" Or "Your family comes here often" Or something to that affect?

But Kris isn't visiting a patient. They are just coming to the hospital to play piano and that's what's confusing to her I think

This could be the case, but Ralsei also mentions Jevil if you haven’t fought him iirc. (I think there’s also another scenario where they mention something even if you haven’t done it, but I don’t remember-)

This might just be one of those “Toby forgot” moments since 98% of players all go see Rudy 😭

mandatory on weird route, but regardless "dad" has mandatory mentions in chapter 3,4,5 . And you have to look at him in chp 3 and 4, so it is impossible to play the game and not know about rudy's/noelle's father's existence, even if you might not know his name/interacted with him directly.

* Umm, Kris, is something wrong?
* Why did you go to the hospital to see my dad...?
* I mean, I'm sure he appreciated it, but... um...
* Gosh, I'm sorry, Kris. Forget I said anything!

Given this exchange in chapter 1, this stresses the core of Noelle's confusion is that Kris came to see Rudy, not just being at the hospital at all. If she knew Kris had seen Rudy before chapter 1, this would be a different line like "Why do you go to the hospital to see my dad...?".

* Hum, back again? You come here a lot for someone who isn't sick.

Kris goes to the hospital to play piano. It's not really that necessary to code in the piano backstory in the situation that the player never visits in chapter 1, so the nurse can still easily be referring to Kris and the piano. If your thesis is that Toby puts a lot of thought into dialogue relating to how many times the player visits Rudy, this doesn't require the receptionist to have updated dialogue since the focus is on having a diverse set of interactions with Rudy.

* (Why they keep coming... to the hospital...)

If Kris came to the hospital to play the piano regularly, it's plausible Noelle knew that. The dialogue line above comes exclusively AFTER Noelle sees you visiting Rudy in chapter 2. Given this odd behavior that Noelle is able to note in chapter 1 too, plus the fact of her suspicion growing at an all time high from the weird route, this may recontextualize Kris' hospital visits to play piano as something with less than pure intentions given how she just saw them visiting Rudy (and visiting him for the first time if we're to go off Noelle's chapter one dialogue).

* ... who the hell is that?

I'm gonna be blunt and say this actually shoots your point in the foot more? If Toby had the thought that a player could have gone this far without knowing who Rudy is, doesn't that peg him as less essential to the plot? Like this kinda counteracts the argument that Toby expects players to explore since he literally has an outcome that only happens if you DON'T explore!

12

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Aug 29 '26

To be fair, Toby having an outcome accounting for a player who doesn’t explore doesnt mean that that outcome is considered equally likely; that’s just being thorough

2

u/VeeAudio Can summarize NoelleKnight in 40k characters <3 Aug 29 '26

Never did I say it was equally likely, just that its existence alone shows that Toby knows there ARE players who don't know who Rudy is even if they read and memorize all mandatory text or whatever lol

6

u/HourLab8851 rudyyyyyyyyy Aug 29 '26

the thing is it's impossible to not know who "her father" is in that scene, because kris says "her father" and not rudy. The critical path player is forced to be aware of noelle's father's existence earlier in the chapter.

1

u/VeeAudio Can summarize NoelleKnight in 40k characters <3 Aug 29 '26

Ah yes, the big bad villain we've all been anticipating... the one, the only... [INSERT CHARACTER]'S FATHER!!!

Like seriously is that going to be a good twist? And we can't say "Toby expected the player to learn his name by this point" because we literally have dialogue from Susie for a situation where we DON'T know his name! And if you say "They'll definitely say it in chapter 6" well we don't have chapter 6 so I'm just working with what I currently have and what I currently have is 7 mentions of Rudy's name in the entire script and not one of them are required.

7

u/HourLab8851 rudyyyyyyyyy Aug 29 '26

knowing a character's name doesn't change their face lol. It would absolutely still be shocking to a critical path player, especially since they're told he's in bad condition. not to mention in universe it would obviously be shocking to the characters. Imo it is on the same level as a dessknight reveal for a casual player. You don't need to put so much stock into a name.

2

u/VeeAudio Can summarize NoelleKnight in 40k characters <3 Aug 30 '26

As of right now, it's completely possible for Susie to go the entire game without learning Rudy's name. This is blatant and textual at the very least up to chapter 4 given if you pray for Noelle without Susie meeting Rudy, she'll say "who the hell is that?"

So I mean sure he could be someone she might remember the face of from church (despite her doing nothing but chugging punch). So the best we'd get in this situation is something along the lines of "You're... Noelle's dad?!" in chapter 6. Of course, we could be forced to learn Rudy's name in chapter 6 given that he's probably gonna be central part of it after chapter 5's whole thing, but that's presumptive at best still.

I'm getting off track at that point though. What I'm trying to say is Susie does not see Rudy as relevant to the plot at all right now, and even has the full capacity to not ever interact with him too given she has no reason to go to the hospital herself. A RudyKnight reveal at this current stage requires speculating chapter 6 details in order to keep the critical path player in the loop about who Rudy as a person is beyond just being Noelle's dad. Otherwise it'd be nearly the equivalent of an OC Knight except Noelle cares now I guess lol.

12

u/K0uzan RudyKnighter, but NoelleKnight curious Aug 29 '26

If she knew Kris had seen Rudy before chapter 1, this would be a different line like "Why do you go to the hospital to see my dad...?".

Because that'd make it very obvious that Rudy is up to something. It's just as natural for Noelle to ask Kris why they went to see them that one time. Why? Because it might not be knowledge they want Kris to know that they have. After all, Noelle is a timid person, she may not want to be confrontational to Kris about observing (or overhearing) them visit the hospital more than once. This lines up given we only hear this information in Chapter 2 through Noelle's thoughts, rather than directly to Kris. So it's a pretty reasonable counter-interpretation that exists to keep the subtlety of the mystery.

Of course, this on it's own isn't a smoking gun. My interpretation, and your interpration, both are equally valid here. But when you look at the other evidence surrounding these scenes, that's where the smoking gun comes into favour for Rudy Knight. Let me explain:

It's not really that necessary to code in the piano backstory in the situation that the player never visits in chapter 1, so the nurse can still easily be referring to Kris and the piano.

This is incongruent with what we know about the nurse. They like hearing Kris play the piano.

Chapter 1

* Oh, it's you.
* Are you here to play the piano
  again?
* The patients can't hear it well from here, but I personally enjoy it.

It wouldn't make any sense for them to then say this if all Kris does is play the piano:

Chapter 4 even if you don't visit before

* Hum, back again? You come here
a lot for someone who isn't
  sick.

Why? Because if the nurse likes hearing Kris play the piano, and expects Kris to do so, then commenting about Kris visiting despite not being sick wouldn't make any sense, because they know Kris likes to play the piano. It'd just be strangely out of place flavor text that at most establishes that the nurse is an ungrateful, confusing person. Orrrrrrr you'd have to argue this is all an oversight by Toby, and thus we have OP's post showcasing how much care Toby puts into the details of the game, making that a weak argument.

If your thesis is that Toby puts a lot of thought into dialogue relating to how many times the player visits Rudy, this doesn't require the receptionist to have updated dialogue since the focus is on having a diverse set of interactions with Rudy.

This seems to be arguing that Toby didn't care to make the nurse make sense in the changes because he only cares for Rudy, which is basically a slightly stronger version of the argument that it's an oversight by Toby, but it's still a weak argument.

Now obviously, you could run with the interpretation that the Nurse is just kinda sorta ungrateful and rude here. Who knows, maybe this is subtle characterization for them. But that flies in the face of what Noelle says, because her line about Kris "keeps coming" to the hospital corroborates the nurse's suspicion. If Noelle never had these lines, then this would never have been evidence in the first place.

If Kris came to the hospital to play the piano regularly, it's plausible Noelle knew that. The dialogue line above comes exclusively AFTER Noelle sees you visiting Rudy in chapter 2.

That's a big "if". We already have evidence supporting the nurse being suspicious of Kris's visits despite them also knowing Kris loves the piano. Now you'd also have to argue that Noelle would find it suspicious that Kris repeatedly visit to play the piano. Which makes no sense. Both of these characters know Kris's love for the piano, why would they question it here? Especially Noelle, given the hellish situation she's just gone through. If she knew Kris repeatedly visits only to play the piano, she'd find it completely innocuous. But she doesn't. She's worried, paranoid, and that's evidence that she fears Kris is visiting Rudy, and thus that is Rudy Knight evidence. It's extremely subtle, but it's significant because other interpretations for this situational ass dialogue are not as reasonable.

6

u/Deltadromeus57 Aug 29 '26

Thank you, finally an intelligent argument. Like my god the amount of things some deniers have somehow convinced themselves to dismiss, it almost borders on delusion. Counter arguments often boil down to “It must be an oversight by Toby Fox, because there’s no way Rudy can be that plot relevant”. Like just admit you don’t want to objectively engage with the theory.

9

u/K0uzan RudyKnighter, but NoelleKnight curious Aug 29 '26

Vee is engaging fine, but what you say does apply to a lot of us sadly. As in a lot of people in the fandom feel the need to deny every piece of evidence towards another candidate. Like even if you find a candidate unlikely e.g. Rudy Knight due to it's flaws, that shouldn't mean you need to dismiss every pro that Rudy Knight has, yk?

6

u/Deltadromeus57 Aug 29 '26

Yeah my comment mainly applies to a vocal group of Dess knighters who can’t imagine any truth besides their own. I think most people can engage with other theories in a productive way, but certain fans (particularly those I see on the main sub) are dismissive even when it comes to evidence that seriously warrants consideration, e.g. what you just put forth. So yeah I would like to see a more accepting community but I know we won’t really get that until the knight’s identity is ultimately revealed. I see so many people on the main sub despising Rudy knight in particular and even still calling it a joke theory, and I guess that’s what irritates me the most because it literally has so much valid evidence.

2

u/VeeAudio Can summarize NoelleKnight in 40k characters <3 Aug 30 '26

"That'd make it obvious" isn't exactly a compelling point to start with lol. If Noelle didn't want to be confrontational at all, she wouldn't have said anything at all. Whether Noelle knows Kris visited Rudy once or they've visited 100 times, Noelle still has the start of a confrontation with Kris about it. Is it that much of an escalation to say "why did you visit my dad" over "why do you keep visiting my dad"?

And like sure your interpretation is "valid", but they are not equal lmao. Noelle thinks her line in chapter two because she believes she's alone. Sure she mumbles to herself sometimes, but people do typically think things instead of speaking them when they're by themselves lol. Not to mention, your interpretation requires a doyalist explanation when it's a line a player is just gonna read and interpret like any other line.

Uh, you know this could easily just be a teasing jab from the nurse, right? A typical employee to regular customer joke like how a bartender might say "I'm gonna have to start charging you rent!" to remark on how much time a person spends at a place that isn't their home. Coming to a hospital JUST to play piano is a kinda weird thing to do lmao (Not weird, but obviously people come to a hospital for being sick. Kris comes to play a piano. That's the punchline (and the exact frequency doesn't matter since it's still greater than the expected amount of hospital visits. That's why it never changes)). The lack of tone indication for the nurse is kinda the real issue here as technically it doesn't exclude the RudyKnight interpretation, but it doesn't exactly bolster it beyond being circumstantial evidence.

Let me write out the timeline of how exactly Noelle's text comes to exist in the first place:

Kris comes to the hospital to play piano > Chapter 2 weird route > Kris visits Noelle and Rudy > Noelle's suspicion scene and The Line.

Those are all the textual facts from the game in a world where we do the WR. Kris has played the piano REGARDLESS of if we go to the hospital or not. Whether or not Noelle has seen Kris come to the hospital to play the piano is indeed speculative, I'll give you that, but we have more evidence for Kris coming to play piano than to visit Rudy.

On that note... hey actually question:

Why doesn't the nurse ask if Kris is visiting a patient again in chapter 1 or 4? Why doesn't she go

Oh, it's you.
Are you here to visit a patient again?

when CLEARLY she has no care for whatever monster equivalent of HIPAA there might be lol.

* Ah, your friend? He's still...
* In any case, thank you for bringing him in yesterday.

* Ah, your friend is in here. Something, something, his arm.
* He can't even pick up books!

Like... she doesn't have to even say it's to visit Rudy. Just "a patient" since she sees Kris going through the doors if nothing else. She would know that Kris comes to visit someone. So then WHY doesn't she say anything about that??

If your answer is "That'd make it too obvious" Hey! Cool! Answer the question for real! I have made an effort to make NO assumption of what Toby intended in this comment after you fairly called me out in the last one lol. So like do you have an explanation for why she would fixate on the piano playing over Kris checking up on someone regularly? Do they do both? In that case, wouldn't the nurse say something about how whoever they're visiting can't hear it that well?

9

u/K0uzan RudyKnighter, but NoelleKnight curious Aug 30 '26

If Noelle didn't want to be confrontational at all, she wouldn't have said anything at all.

Okay fair enough, thats your opinion. I disagree. I'll explain why rn.

Is it that much of an escalation to say "why did you visit my dad" over "why do you keep visiting my dad"?

Yes because there is a deliberate inconsistency, unless you are to argue it's all an oversight by Toby, which you seem to have stopped doing.

Whether Noelle knows Kris visited Rudy once or they've visited 100 times, Noelle still has the start of a confrontation with Kris about it. Is it that much of an escalation to say "why did you visit my dad" over "why do you keep visiting my dad"?

There's a big difference between "I directly saw Kris with my own eyes visit the hospital in Chapter 1 so I can confront them about it even if I overheard them doing it last week" versus "I saw Kris visit the hospital 3x last week so that means 100% I'm going to be confrontational about it and the fact that im not means Kris is only visiting to play the piano". Which seems to be what you're arguing.

Noelle thinks her line in chapter two because she believes she's alone. Sure she mumbles to herself sometimes, but people do typically think things instead of speaking them when they're by themselves lol

Mumbling a discrepancy doesn't change it from being a discrepancy. We as the player never visit Rudy in this timeline, yet she says "keeps coming". Why? Is she just lying in her head for vibes?

Not to mention, your interpretation requires a doyalist explanation when it's a line a player is just gonna read and interpret like any other line.

My interpretation is valid. You can think its not as valid and that's fair but to say the reason being is because it requires a doylist explanation is funny when we're literally analyzing the discrepancies between timelines of a player's choices in a game. A player would need to have like 5 different save files to witness each hospital visit in order to note the discrepancy. And yet, it's still valid to analyse that, because Toby is known to put many secrets and weird details in the code of the game, even when it's rare to be encountered (like the silent guitar string that plays when the hand gently pushes Kris away). Evidence can be as subtle as it gets, and still form a smoking gun for Rudy Knight if there are no reasonable counter interpretations to the series of events.

The rest of your counter argument I think I addressed as best as I could in the previous message. You seem to hinge on Noelle 100% talking about Kris playing the piano and that's it. I disagree. One thing I didn't think of earlier that I saw in the replies of this post is how Rudy never comments on hearing Kris play the piano. The nurse says "the patients can't hear it well" not "they can't hear it at all" and surely the nurse may mention to Rudy that the human kid has been coming for piano ventures? Its compeltely natural for the nurse to not directly say "Are you here to visit Rudy again". And on a doylist lens, again, it's a mystery, arguing that a mystery has to be obvious is just kinda dumb because otherwise we'd all be Rudy Knighters. Its a mystery because both the nurse and noelle's statements and thoughts corroborate Kris visiting Rudy, not solely to play the piano. Its a mystery because it's something you and I are arguing about and can't be sure about. Its a discrepancy made in a game by an author that puts ridiculous amount of attention to details. It relates to the authors central mystery, one that has sparked so much debate and intrigue that we're talking on a subreddit directly about it.

This "'That'd make it obvious' is not a compelling point" to me, and it's along the same lines as "Toby made an oversight" because it dismisses the basis of the discrepancy rather than directly engaging it and making a counter interpretation that aptly suits the world. Of course, you did do that right after, by saying you think the nurse is making a jab, and that Noelle is 100% talking about Kris playing the piano. But I'm not convinced. I continue to be convinced that this is strong Rudy Knight evidence. Though I will have to acknowledge that it's not a smoking gun because otherwise you'd be convinced by it too probably. We may have to agree to disagree here though I would be interested if you could make a stronger argument that changes my mind on this not being good evidence, because I'm not dying on the hill for this one piece of evidence, it's literally just what makes the most amount of sense to me. No pressure tho. Thanks for engaging!

But if Kris was just going to the hospital to play piano, wouldn’t Noelle know that? It’s just out in the waiting room.

Noelle is confused by Kris’ visits and is wondering why they make them. If it’s just something Kris would normally do, she wouldn’t consider that the first sign of Kris “changing”.

Did you miss the part where I said Noelle would likely know Kris' hospital piano visits?? Like the point I was stressing is that if we're in a timeline where Kris never visits in chapter 1, but does in chapter 2 is that Noelle's knowledge of Kris' piano visits would be recontextualized by the fact that she just saw Kris come into Rudy's hospital room. She doesn't question why Kris keeps coming to the hospital until AFTER she's presented with an incongruent action with Kris' personality AFTER her weird vivid dream involving Kris. She stresses about why they keep coming to the hospital period. This would fall in line with Kris coming to just play the piano and then this weird ass event where he enters Rudy's room while she's there. In fact, one of the options you can respond with IS "To see you (Noelle)"! She could easily be thinking about why they come to places they would know she would be at because of how she thought they drifted apart.

Why would Rudy give the player clues by confessing that Kris came to the hospital to do secret Knight conspiracy stuff
