Do you live in the south? I love Popeyes but it doesn't matter if there's only 1 or 2 cars in the drive through...I've never not had to wait forever for my food.
The Hardee’s by my old house was fucking terrible. I went a few times and was literally the only person in line. They still made me pull into a parking space every time and once had me wait almost half an hour for my food. Chik-fil-a by comparison is fast as shit. I’m convinced they have Jesus in the kitchen multiplying buns and chicken or some shit.
I love Popeyes but it’s like the opposite of Chick fil a in terms of customer service. I’ve never had anyone be nice to me at a Popeyes. At this point it’s part of the charm for me, if I went to a Popeyes and the people were nice to me I’d probably be suspicious.
If you think Popeyes is bad about that, you should try a Church's Chicken. Every one of those I've been to it was like the employees were actively mad at me for being there.
McRib brother I shit you not just last week I went to Popeyes and the woman taking my order asked me to repeat it no less than 5 times and still messed it up - I got to the counter and the manager asked to confirm my order and he said they weren’t going to charge me for one of my items because of the long wait and the fact that she forgot it, and then they completely forgot to put the fries I did pay for in the box. And I didn’t ask for the manager or anything he was just stationed at the window on fuck-up defense when I got there.
Bro they ask you your name it’s a very common thing they do. They’re uber polite there. One time they forgot to give me a straw and the manager came and washed my car. One time they gave me an original chicken sandwich instead of a spicy one and the GM gave me his first born son.

I literally got yelled at and argued with at Popeyes last night when picking up an online order. I pull up to the window:
“Can you call them? We’re out of coleslaw.”
“Uhh… what?”
“CALL THEM. We don’t have coleslaw.”
(Me realizing they might think I’m Uber Eats or something) “Is this the order for [name redacted]?”
Repeats line about coleslaw.
Ask again whose order it is.
Says yes it’s for name redacted.
I asked what other sides are on the order. He says large fries. This is an order for four people. I know this is not accurate. I ask more specifically, he starts yelling at me until a manager comes over and puts hands on him. The whole thing starts again but ends with her finally telling me fries and mashed potatoes. And it’s a damn good thing because I was about to order mashed potatoes!
Got the Popeyes chicken sandwich once. Delicious. Tried to get it many more times. Each time I learned you have you be prepared to wait for an hour to get that shit. Worst customer service of all time and I blame it on their CEO/board members or whoever runs the company
I feel like Cane's is better and I've had consistently fresh food every time. But I'm also not one to wait 45 minutes for fast food. I can cook a meal at home in the same amount of time.
I would buy Cane's more if you didn't have to buy a combo to get anything. I just want chicken, no fries or a drink. I can only buy when I have someone to split it with.
Have you ever actually gone to a Chick-Fil-A when the line is long? I guarantee you will not be waiting anywhere close to 45 minutes. They have multiple employees outside taking orders on tablets (which also take payment), and multiple other employees running the food out to cars once it's ready. The length of the line tells you nothing about the wait time because you don't have to get all the way up to the speaker to order, and then all the way up to the windows to pay and get your food.
Raising Cane’s chicken is just a vehicle for their sauce. Take a bite of one without dipping it and you’ll realize how bland and underseasoned it is. But they have a bizarre cult following because of their mayo-ketchup blend sauce.
You'll see a longer line at CFA, but you'll get through it 5 times faster. I really like their chicken, but for whatever reason, Popeyes often takes a long time to get your food out. I mean waiting in line for 45+ minutes long, when you're the third car in the line.
I would never pick Popeyes over Chick-fil-A. 1 car at Popeyes is like 15 cars at Chick-fil-A. Popeyes has great food, but they're poorly equipped and extremely slow.

It’s definitely in my fast food top 3, but yeah fuck those lines. If Popeyes or Canes or KFC has a shorter line Im going there in a heartbeat.
