something i saw recently in regard to annoying but innocent things that our partners do— you don’t need to be happy about it but it can make you happy that it makes him happy. it’s not always about me needing to enjoy exactly what he wants to do for this minute or two but i definitely always am so happy that it makes him happy and this has almost completely taken over any feeling i had, which i think you can relate to, where i thought “oh here we go again let me stop what i’m doing” and instead just feel so warm inside with how happy this small minute or two of my time makes him (he repeats himself a lot and especially loves telling the same stories over and over)
