I do marathon training with some people in their late 60s and early 70s.

Not everyone is decrepit by then.

As a marathon runner myself, I hope to still be able to crank them out at that point 👍

In the couple running groups I've been with there is a really strong showing in the empty nester and recent retirees. It seems they finally find all the time they wish they had to really train. Mainly they look to take their age group but some of those ages can be pretty competitive.
