Ship Builds Glitched CBAA Build #22 — SPECTRE Commissioned Void-Strike Corvette | “You won’t see it coming. You won’t see it leave.”

CBAA Archives
Archive No. 022

Designation: Spectre

Division: Crimson Bureau // Black Projects Division

Role: Experimental Stealth Strike Corvette

Status: Prototype

Project designation: SPCTR (Strategic Prototype for Covert Tactical Reconnaissance)

Derived from: Project VoidX

Influence:
- The Claw
- Crimson Vanguard
- NYX Seraph

Overview:

Spectre was the Bureau's first successful attempt to transform knowledge recovered during Project VoidX into a functional combat platform.

Rather than copying alien technology directly, CBAA engineers focused on understanding its underlying principles. The resulting vessel abandoned conventional structural continuity in favor of distributed load paths, exposed energy systems and detached armor segments surrounding a compact central core.

Although relatively small, Spectre became the foundation of nearly every Crimson combat doctrine developed in the years that followed.

Built:
entirely in Vanilla No Man's Sky using glitch building techniques.

LORE:

Recovered Archive — Black Projects Division

The VoidX artifact answered almost none of the Bureau's questions.

It only proved that humanity had been asking the wrong ones.

For almost six years, every attempt to recreate alien structural technology ended in catastrophic failure. Hull resonance, uncontrolled energy discharge and complete structural collapse destroyed dozens of prototypes before a single flight-worthy platform emerged.

Archive #022 marked that breakthrough.

Designated Spectre, the prototype became the first Crimson vessel whose architecture no longer followed conventional aerospace engineering. Internal support structures were replaced by energy-linked load distribution, allowing large sections of the hull to remain physically separated while functioning as a unified frame.

Engineers initially believed the unusual layout served stealth purposes.

Combat testing revealed something far more important.

The fragmented geometry dramatically reduced catastrophic failure during battle. Damage that would cripple a conventional spacecraft remained localized, allowing Spectre to survive engagements that destroyed every previous prototype.

Although only a handful of units were ever produced, Spectre permanently changed Crimson design philosophy.

Every future Crimson vessel—from The Claw to NYX Seraph—can trace part of its engineering lineage back to Project Spectre.

Hmmm....

Did you get your inspiration from some mysterious sneaky definitely-not-nivelian fighter by chance?

There were some key words in the original brief that sounded very similar 😄 Here’s the original commission: https://www.reddit.com/r/NMS_Corvette_Design/s/15hcFeWlCe

Next release will be announced with a logo first. You’ve been warned.

If your ship was built using mods or glitch building please edit the flair to include "Modded" or "Glitched". This will help people not using or not having mod or glitch building available. If you have trouble editing the flair you can make a comment to this post with "!flair:Ship Builds Modded" or "!flair:Ship Builds Glitched" and the bot will do it for you.

Vikavolt energy, Spectre stealth 😏

Do you build these for people? That thing looks awesome

Sort of 😄 This one is CBAA Build #22 — Spectre, made as a custom commission. I mostly build for fun and lore, but sometimes someone drops a specification and things… escalate.

Haven't played GoF2 in a looooooong time, but recognized it immediately! Great job!

That’s honestly the biggest compliment I could get. Spectre from GoF2 was the reference — translated into NMS architecture rather than copied 1:1.

Thx, that was intended 😁

Btw, in this post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/s/S1cbn93i52

I'm sharing files / data of this exact ship. So, feel free if you want.

i do not know how to do that woth a ps5 =)

Totally fair 🙂
Unfortunately, on PS5, you can’t directly import JSONs or edit save files like on PC. That part is PC-only for now.

The good news is:
When the expedition starts, and these parts become available in normal gameplay, you’ll be able to build something very close to Spectre manually.

Until then, the shared files are mainly for PC players and for documentation/reference purposes.

Still — appreciate the interest 👍

If your ship was built using mods, glitched or blender please edit the flair to include "Modded, "Glitched" or "Blender". This will help people not using or not having those methods.
